Episode 4 recap: Peacock Princess tricked Gu Jin and took away the Heaven Veiling Umbrella.

Gu Jin took the Fairy Essence from the Little Fire Phoenix to meet his master, Donghua Xianjun. Donghua Xianjun was very happy to see him and told Gu Jin with a smile that with this strand of Fairy Essence, it would be easier to find the other strands through resonance. He speculated that the other Fairy Essences should also be in the Phoenix Tree. He knew of three places with ancient Phoenix Trees and asked Gu Jin and A Yin to go and search for them.

To reward Gu Jin and A Yin, Donghua Xianjun gave them each a Fairy Pill that could enhance their celestial powers. Additionally, he gave Gu Jin an extra Heaven Veiling Umbrella, which would protect Gu Jin from harm by anyone below the demigod level. After consuming the Fairy Pill, A Yin's celestial power greatly increased. To revitalize the Water Condensation Fairy Clan, A Yin planned to find several handsome immortal gentlemen and have more children. Therefore, whenever she had the chance, she would start choosing a mate.

At this time, there was a vacant official position in the heavens, and all the major fairy clans were eager to participate in the election. Gu Jin was not interested, but A Yin wanted to take part. Attaining a position in the heavens would undoubtedly benefit the reputation of the Water Condensation Fairy Clan, and she would also have the opportunity to meet more immortal gentlemen.

At A Yin's repeated requests, Gu Jin brought her to the place of the competition. Seeing A Yin constantly greeting men, Gu Jin sneered, but unexpectedly, A Yin voluntarily offered herself to Ling Feng. Upon learning that A Yin was Gu Jin's junior sister, Ling Feng took the opportunity to mock the two of them, saying that the top beam was not straight, so the bottom beam would also be crooked. On the day when Gu Jin seduced the Peacock Princess, today A Yin willingly embraced someone else. Hearing Ling Feng's words, Gu Jin told him not to be smug because both of them were useless in terms of cultivation.

When Ling Feng left, A Yin was so angry that she cursed him in her heart. Just as she was thinking about him stumbling down the stairs, Ling Feng actually fell down for real. The Peacock Princess arrived at Mount Daze with a pile of treasures because the Peacock Clan was at war with the Eagle Clan. She wanted to borrow the Heaven Veiling Umbrella for a year, and upon learning that it was with Gu Jin, she came searching for him.

The three places with ancient Phoenix Trees mentioned by Donghua Xianjun are the Sacred Tranquil Valley of the Fox Clan, the Nine Abyss Prison of Purple Moon Mountain, and the former cultivation place of the former Heavenly Emperor Chenhui, known as the Ruins Mountain. Since the Fox Clan was relatively close to Mount Daze and had a good relationship with the Fire Phoenix Clan, Gu Jin and A Yin decided to go to the Sacred Tranquil Valley first.

Gu Jin and A Yin were about to set off when the Peacock Princess suddenly appeared. Seeing the Peacock Princess, Gu Jin's heart raced with excitement, and he asked her if she received his letter. In the eyes of the Peacock Princess, Gu Jin was nothing more than a useless person. But in order to obtain the Heaven Veiling Umbrella, she lied and claimed that she also had a good impression of Gu Jin but didn't reply to his letter because they were at war with the Eagle Clan.

Upon hearing this, A Yin understood that the Peacock Princess wanted to borrow the Heaven Veiling Umbrella. Before Gu Jin could respond, A Yin refused on his behalf. Although the Peacock Princess felt annoyed, she didn't show her anger. On the way to the Sacred Tranquil Valley, Gu Jin saw the Peacock Princess engaged in battle with the Eagle Clan. He used the Heaven Veiling Umbrella to save her and brought her to an inn for recovery. After A Yin left, the Peacock Princess used an illusion to make A Yin unable to find her way back. She then lamented to Gu Jin, claiming that her father, the king, wanted to marry her off in order to form an alliance with another clan. Gu Jin, feeling anxious, gave her the Heaven Veiling Umbrella, urging her not to agree to the marriage.

Unable to find Gu Jin, A Yin shouted loudly, and Gu Jin used their master-servant contract to pull her over. The Peacock Princess discovered that A Yin was Gu Jin's spirit companion and took the opportunity to mock her while Gu Jin was making medicine for her. When Gu Jin returned, the Peacock Princess had already left. Seeing A Yin upset, Gu Jin comforted her, and they continued on their journey. Upon arriving at the Fox Clan, they heard that the male foxes in the clan were very handsome. A Yin wanted to find her ideal husband among the foxes. Gu Jin informed her that only when a fox demon reached the Second Heavenly Realm could they transform into human form, and there were very few fox demons who had reached that level. A Yin stubbornly told him that she insisted on finding someone who had reached the Third Heavenly Realm.
