Episode 5 recap: A Yin accidentally saved Hong Yi.
As an elite member of the Fox Clan, Hong Yi ventured into the Three Realms. Due to his insufficient strength, he was nearly injured by the guards. Fortunately, the Fox King intervened in time to save him. The Fox King also warned him about the dangers of the Three Realms. However, Hong Yi showed no gratitude towards his uncle, as he held a grudge for his parents' tragic fate during the battle between demons and immortals, when his aunt failed to return in time to help.
After leaving his aunt, Hong Yi continued to train diligently and eventually succeeded in overcoming the challenges of the Three Realms. The reason he wanted to venture into the Three Realms was to forge a suitable weapon and then retrieve his father's weapon, the Silenced Heaven Wheel, in the immortal realm. Following his triumph in the Three Realms, Hong Yi arrived at the location for weapon forging. Under the watchful eyes of Tianmo's subordinate, Zhaoying, Hong Yi observed in secret. Once he finished forging the weapon, he followed Tianmo's instructions and discarded the Silenced Heaven Wheel, which lured Hong Yi into the Nine Abyss Purging Prison.
Upon arriving at the Nine Abyss Purging Prison, Hong Yi was initially entangled by a flower demon and later injured by Tianmo. When Tianmo attempted to extract Hong Yi's inner core, someone warned Hong Yi to quickly hide under a parasol tree. Following that advice, Hong Yi swiftly took cover under the tree, and indeed, Tianmo dared not approach him. Exhausted, Hong Yi closed his eyes and transformed into a red fox.
Gu Jin explained their purpose to the Fox King, stating that the parasol tree was a sacred object of the Fox Clan, and its tree spirit, Tong Gui, was highly respected and could not be desecrated. The Fox Clan elders immediately opposed the idea, so the Fox King proposed a condition to Gu Jin: If Gu Jin and A Yin could find Hong Yi, who had disappeared after going to Ziyue Mountain, the parasol tree would be open to them.
Gu Jin remembered that there was a trace of the little fire phoenix's celestial energy in Ziyue Mountain and agreed to the Fox King's request. Together with A Yin, Gu Jin journeyed to Ziyue Mountain. Upon arrival, a three-headed fire dragon blocked their path and attacked Gu Jin. Without his sky-covering umbrella, Gu Jin was almost injured. However, Bi Bo, the guardian beast who had secretly protected him, intervened in time to save him. When the three-headed fire dragon saw Gu Jin, A Yin, and Bi Bo acquainted with each other, it no longer troubled them and even voluntarily helped them search for Hong Yi. However, despite their thorough search of Ziyue Mountain, they could not find any trace of Hong Yi.
Gu Jin remembered his other task and wanted to go to the parasol tree in Ziyue Mountain to search for the celestial connection of the little fire phoenix. However, Bi Bo advised Gu Jin not to go because the parasol tree was located inside the treacherous Nine Abyss Purging Prison. Gu Jin desired to descend into the prison but couldn't open the barrier there. He then sought the help of the three-headed fire dragon. After transforming into human form, the dragon introduced himself as the Lord of the Three Fire Dragons. The Lord of the Three Fire Dragons had always desired to obtain the heart of the parasol tree in the Nine Abyss Purging Prison. In exchange for Gu Jin's promise to retrieve the tree's heart, he agreed to help Gu Jin open the barrier and urged Gu Jin to return within one hour.
Just as Gu Jin was about to set off wearing the invisibility cloak known as the Heavenly Shuttle Robe, A Yin suddenly arrived, wanting to accompany him. Initially, Gu Jin didn't want to bring her along, but A Yin skillfully slipped into the Heavenly Shuttle Robe. Seeing that the robe could make them all invisible, Gu Jin agreed to take A Yin with him.
After entering the Nine Abyss Purging Prison, the two of them remained unseen by the man-eating flowers due to the Heavenly Shuttle Robe. They successfully reached the parasol tree and found the celestial energy of the little fire phoenix. When Gu Jin went to retrieve the tree's heart, A Yin, who remained under the parasol tree, unexpectedly discovered Hong Yi. She quickly used her magical powers to awaken him but accidentally stepped out of the barrier of the tree.
The man-eating flowers noticed A Yin and launched an attack against her. When Gu Jin returned, he hurriedly threw the Heavenly Shuttle Robe to A Yin. Once A Yin became invisible, the man-eating flowers targeted Gu Jin instead. A Yin noticed this and immediately jumped onto Gu Jin, combining their invisibility, thus evading the attacks of the man-eating flowers.
Upon hearing the commotion in the Nine Abyss Purging Prison and sensing the presence of the Fire Phoenix Jade, Tianmo happily rushed over and nullified the invisibility function of the Heavenly Shuttle Robe. Gu Jin and A Yin, despite using the Water Mirror Moon technique, were still unable to defeat Tianmo. Thankfully, Gu Jin's divine sword, upon being smeared with his blood, suddenly regained its original form and displayed its divine power, blocking Tianmo's attacks. Hong Yi, who had regained consciousness, took the opportunity to carry Gu Jin and A Yin and escape from the Nine Abyss Purging Prison.
