Episode 15 recap: Nan Hua surprised Jin Xia.
Jin Xia said that Nan Hua had waited for so many years and finally found the person he had been waiting for. Other people naturally became unimportant, and the promises made before no longer mattered. Jin Xia described herself as a practical girl who had decided to grow old alone when she bought that house. Nan Hua took it seriously.
Jin Xia's teacher, who was watching the surveillance footage, saw the scene where Nan Hua maneuvered Jin Xia to avoid the coffee, and she understood what was going on. She was extremely happy and felt that what was missing before was finally present now. The teacher called Jin Xia over and expressed her interest in Jin Xia's boyfriend.
Since the teacher was the person Nan Hua had been waiting for, Jin Xia decided to tell her about Nan Hua's situation. Ding Yan Hai noticed that Nan Hua seemed very troubled and asked him what was wrong, wondering if he was worried that the person he had been waiting for wasn't actually Jin Xia.

Nan Hua said that he had been waiting for the crown prince all these years, but deep down he knew that the crown prince would not come back. The ones who returned were all imposters. While waiting, he met someone who allowed him to stop waiting and live his own life. Nan Hua mentioned that his commitment to waiting for the crown prince still held, but now he wanted to fulfill his promise to take care of Jin Xia.
Nan Hua asked Jin Xia if she would be willing to be with him, and Jin Xia agreed, feeling somewhat surprised. She had thought that Nan Hua was going to leave her, but now they were together. Jin Xia asked about Nan Hua's teacher, and Nan Hua explained that it was Jin Xia's teacher who had sent him to find her.
At that time, Jin Xia's teacher told Nan Hua that she had been having a dream, especially after meeting Nan Hua. Now she understood why. She told Nan Hua that regardless of the promises he made to the crown prince, they were not for her. She had her own life now and didn't want anything to change.
Jin Xia's teacher believed that the commitment should be mutual and that Nan Hua should take good care of Jin Xia. Jin Xia and Nan Hua returned home and saw Ding Yan Hai's mother waiting outside. They didn't know what was going on. Ding Yan Hai's mother said that Ding Yan Hai kept coming to Jin Xia's place every day, and the local police had warned him several times. She had told him that Jin Xia already had a girlfriend, but Ding Yan Hai didn't listen.
Ding Yan Hai's mother asked Jin Xia to talk to Ding Yan Hai and tell him not to meet anymore. Jin Xia didn't know how to explain. Nan Hua said that Ding Yan Hai had actually come to find him.
