Episode 20 recap: Bai Hui received a letter.
Pang Hong Mei and others discussed the matter here and felt that there was no need for Bai Hui to poison anyone. After all, he has always been the one preparing the medicine. If he wanted to poison someone, he could have done it earlier. Besides, it would be too obvious if he poisoned the medicine he brewed himself. Captain Chen also believed that the medicine Bai Hui brought now was not the issue. The problem occurred during the two minutes he was away. Everyone in the hospital was a suspect, but they can let Bai Hui go back for now.
Pang Hong Mei asked Bai Hui to leave, considering that there would inevitably be gossip and rumors at this time. Bai Hui said that if gossip could kill, he would have died several times already. Bai Hui went to the cafeteria to have a meal, but no one wanted to approach him as they believed he was the one who poisoned the medicine.
People in the hospital were pointing fingers at him as well. Director Ge asked Bai Hui if he wanted to take a rest, but Bai Hui didn't want to. Captain Chen asked Pang Hong Mei about their current plan. Pang Hong Mei wanted to stir up trouble in the hospital. They issued an order for Bai Hui to continue working in the medical insurance group, which made many nurses unhappy. Du Fang believed that as long as Bai Hui was in the hospital, they would have a hard time under his control.
Pang Hong Mei intentionally called Bai Hui over and warned him to be cautious this time. If anything happened again, Pang Hong Mei wouldn't be able to protect him. While Bai Hui was preparing the medicine, he was called away by someone else. Du Fang quietly went to the pharmacy and administered the poison. Unexpectedly, as soon as he opened the door, he saw Pang Hong Mei and others waiting there.
Du Fang claimed that whether it was his first time or if he was inspired by Bai Hui, his family was involved. However, Pang Hong Mei and others had already found the nurse uniform Du Fang had worn previously. After he poisoned the medicine last time, he had taken the vial and put it in his pocket, leaving traces on the clothes.

However, he was surprised to see Ji Dan Yang giving a bigger apple to Bai Hui. Everyone was shocked to learn that Du Fang had done such a thing because of an apple. The hospital announced the outcome of their investigation: Du Fang was fired for jealousy, framing others, and jeopardizing the safety of the experts. He was also required to cooperate with the police investigation. Ji Dan Yang was also surprised to learn that jealousy was the motive behind the incident. Pang Hong Mei mentioned the apple as the catalyst, advising Ji Dan Yang not to casually give apples to her female colleagues.
Ji Dan Yang was bewildered, as she didn't understand how she was involved in all of this. Meanwhile, Bai Hui received a letter, which he burned while preparing the medicine. He went to the library to borrow a book, and Director Luo happened to see him there. Surprisingly, Director Luo discovered Bai Hui's interest in music. However, Bai Hui casually mentioned that he was just browsing.
Bai Ming Han noticed that Bai Hui hadn't come down to eat, so he brought the meal to Bai Hui. Bai Hui quickly put away the music book he was reading and claimed he was studying a book on traditional Chinese medicine. Bai Hui had a nightmare about his childhood.
The next day, Bai Ming Han was planning to go out but noticed that Bai Hui had a fever and didn't agree to leave. He discovered that Bai Hui was unwell. Bai Hui requested to have the medicine brewed by Bai Ming Han, who kindly prepared it and brought it to him.
