Episode 7 recap: Zhang A Shui was arrested.
Director Ge brought Bai Hui to give Chu Huai Qiu a massage. Chu Huai Qiu highly praised Bai Hui's skills and, after careful consideration, decided that Bai Hui could join the medical team. Secretary Lu came to deliver a nameplate to Bai Hui and also asked if Bai Hui was in a romantic relationship or if anyone was pursuing her.
Director Ge happened to overhear this and called Secretary Lu out, feeling that his approach was inappropriate. Secretary Lu admitted that he liked Bai Hui, but neither he nor Bai Hui were married, so it was normal for him to pursue her. Bai Hui came down with a pair of scissors, and when Zhang A Shui saw her, Bai Hui's father managed to break free from Zhang A Shui's grip. However, Zhang A Shui then kidnapped Bai Hui instead. Captain Chen and his team returned and saw the note Pang Hong Mei left for them. They hurried over.
Pang Hong Mei put down her gun and offered herself as a substitute for Bai Hui. She was taken by Bai Hui into the alley. Unexpectedly, Bai Hui had a landmine in her hand. Fortunately, Chief Li arrived in time and saved Pang Hong Mei. Pang Hong Mei was unharmed, and Chief Li had only minor injuries, but Zhang A Shui suffered a head injury. Although he was out of immediate danger, it was uncertain if he would regain consciousness.
Pang Hong Mei and the others questioned Bai Hui's father, who revealed that before the Liberation, he treated anyone, including gunshot wounds.
