Jiang Bo simply lectures according to the textbooks, but Jiang Xiao Yuan has no interest in listening. Upon learning that Qi Lian's investigation has made progress, she wants to skip class and leave. Director Zhong is certain that he had filed the documents correctly, and the missing file doesn't even have a trace of dust, which makes him believe that someone tampered with them. He looks up at the surveillance cameras on the ceiling and immediately instructs Xiao Zhang to retrieve the footage. Unexpectedly, they hear some noise while investigating, and as they try to trace it, someone attacks Director Zhong, causing him to bleed and collapse on the ground. Jiang Xiao Yuan initially thought they would uncover the truth this time, but the leads have once again been severed. Qi Lian realizes the suspicious coincidence of Director Zhong's injury and becomes aware of the danger. He pulls Jiang Xiao Yuan away and, while escorting her to the dormitory, specifically informs her that the battery of the locator lasts only a year. Jiang Xiao Yuan becomes extremely excited, believing that when the year is up, she can return home.
