Episode 2 recap: Chu Qi arrived at Fengming Town.
Chu Qi wanted to go to Fengming Town, but the boatmen here refused to go, saying that it was too eerie there. Previously, a group of people went into the temple of the King of the Underworld and took away the treasures, and since then, inexplicable deaths have occurred here. Even though they were grown men, they died wearing phoenix crowns and robes. Chu Qi took out a lot of money, and the boatmen immediately agreed to take Chu Qi there.
Chu Qi got lost here and saw a man, but the man said he was going to the outskirts of the town to gather herbs and couldn't take her there. Chu Qi walked in the opposite direction and indeed entered the town. Chu Qi asked the owner of the coffin shop if he had seen that person, and the owner's face changed, but he said he hadn't seen him.
The mayor came over, and Chu Qi explained that she was looking for someone. The mayor asked Chu Qi to stay at his house for the time being and take it slowly to find the person. Chu Qi agreed. Chu Qi had a dream about her sister, who said she wanted to give her sugar water. Chu Qi opened her eyes and saw the mayor's silly son wanting to feed her sugar water.
The silly child ran away first, and Chu Qi noticed that her photo was missing, perhaps taken by him. She quickly chased after him but ended up getting lost outside. Chu Qi encountered the man she had seen before, and he said he had come in too and brought her to the place where the mayor lived. The man also wanted to go in, saying he lived here and was the mayor's adopted son.
Chu Qi didn't expect them to have such a relationship and was very surprised.
