Episode 5 recap: Investigation of Chu Qi and Wu Xu.

Chu Qi explained that he had no other choice but to visit the morgue in order to find clues. He admitted that he was afraid. While they were searching for clues, Jue Ming discovered them. Chu Qi didn't want to argue with him, so he pulled Wu Xu away and they left. Gu Yu Sheng was trapped there in the middle of the night and found a Purple Wind Grass. He picked one and experienced a hallucination, where he saw Chu Qi agreeing to something.

The next day, Gu Yu Sheng woke up to find that he was holding a piece of wood, which made him very frustrated. Wu Xu and Chu Qi met with the mayor and wanted to perform an autopsy on the body, but the mayor refused. Wu Xu asked whether the mayor disagreed or was too afraid to do it. The mayor replied that he wasn't afraid, but according to their customs, they couldn't touch the dead at night. Wu Xu agreed.

Chu Qi and Wu Xu discussed their situation. Wu Xu's father had already passed away, and Chu Qi expressed his condolences and assured him that he could rely on him if he needed anything. The next day, Wu Xu performed the autopsy and found that the cause of death was excessive bleeding, nothing unusual.

The mayor didn't want them to continue their investigation, fearing that they would anger the King of the Underworld. Wu Xu mentioned the scented sachet they discovered, believing that Shi San had appeared in the town. Chu Qi became worried upon hearing this, and Wu Xu suggested that they follow this lead and continue their investigation.
