Episode 16 recap: Xili wants to break up with Wei Jianhao.
Wei Jianhao escorted Song Huai Xi back home and anxiously asked Uncle Qi, the butler, what was wrong with her. Uncle Qi hesitated and told him that the master had entrusted all the business to Miss Xili, and she might have overworked herself. Upon hearing this, Wei Jianhao finally felt relieved and left.
Gu Feiyan drove Wei Jianhao home, and Wei Jianhao fell asleep in the car. When they arrived at Xili's house, the doors were closed. Gu Feiyan didn't wake him up but took off her jacket and covered him with it. Then she parked the car on the side and also closed her eyes to sleep.
Xili was in a bad mood when she got home, so she asked Feng Shihao to accompany her for a drink. The next day, when she woke up from being drunk, she found Feng Shihao sleeping next to her and couldn't help but scream. After Wei Jianhao woke up, he saw that Gu Feiyan was still asleep, so he draped his clothes over her.
When Gu Feiyan opened her eyes and saw that it was already bright outside, she decided to accompany Wei Jianhao to explain things to Xili. However, as they passed by a flowerbed, her skirt got caught on a thorn. Wei Jianhao squatted down to help her just as Xili, who was angry and ran out, saw them.
Wei Jianhao was about to explain to Xili when Feng Shihao, who was chasing after Xili, forcibly kissed her in front of Wei Jianhao. Feng Shihao even claimed that Xili was now his woman. Zhang Ying, who came out afterwards, not only didn't stop Feng Shihao but also scolded Gu Feiyan as a seductress. Gu Feiyan didn't tolerate her behavior and slapped her twice. Zhang Ying's son, Hu Da, grabbed a broom and swung it at Gu Feiyan but was stopped by Wei Jianhao.
Feng Shihao knew he couldn't provoke Gu Feiyan and was scared, so he turned around and fled. Xili called Wei Jianhao into her room to have a private conversation. Wei Jianhao tried to explain the situation with Gu Feiyan, but Xili didn't believe him and proposed to break up.
