Episode 18 recap: Song Huai Xi confessed her feelings to Wei Jian Hao.
Gu Fei Yan told Zhang Ying that she was going to cancel all the cooperative projects between the Xu family and the Hu family, causing the Hu family to lose over 5 million. Zhang Ying and her son immediately pleaded with Gu Fei Yan, but Gu Fei Yan left without looking back. Zhang Ying and Hu Da were left filled with regret.
When Madam Hu learned about the situation, she blamed Zhang Ying for the losses and demanded 5 million from her. However, Zhang Ying couldn't come up with that amount even if she sold her house. She decided to ask Xili to call Shi Hao for help. Feng Shi Hao agreed to assist them, but the condition was for Xili to attend as his girlfriend at Grandfather Song's upcoming birthday celebration. If they could secure cooperation from the Song family, the problem could be resolved. Xili reluctantly agreed.
Wei Jian Hao planned to stay until after Grandfather Song's birthday before leaving. He found a small hotel for that purpose. However, Song Huai Xi found the hotel too small, dirty, and messy. She wanted Wei Jian Hao to accompany her back to the Song family, but he refused. Song Huai Xi then decided to stay with Wei Jian Hao.
Wei Jian Hao arranged another room for Song Huai Xi, but the conditions of the small hotel were too poor. Song Huai Xi, being a wealthy young lady, couldn't tolerate such discomfort and ended up being scared by cockroaches in the middle of the night. She went to find Wei Jian Hao and he offered to take her back to the Song family. However, Song Huai Xi suddenly confessed her feelings to him, saying that she had been attracted to him since the first moment she saw him. Wei Jian Hao was taken aback by this unexpected confession and didn't know how to respond.
