Episode 2 recap: Song Huai Xi threatened Wei Jian Hao to come to the Song family's banquet.
Xu, the head of the mining company, wanted to collaborate with Song Yuan Er to enter the jade industry in Myanmar. The condition he set was to invite lawyer and jade expert Liu Haoshi to provide support for her and defeat Song Huai Xi at the stone appreciation banquet. Hali had her eyes on a particular stone, which everyone believed to be the best in the collection. They thought buying it would guarantee a substantial profit. However, Wei Jian Hao advised Hali to purchase the adjacent stone, number 106, claiming that the one Hali chose only had a superficial layer of jade and the rest was worthless. Hali and her mother didn't believe him.
Upon hearing Wei Jian Hao's words, Song Huai Xi immediately bought the stone numbered 106. Hali's mother was worried. If Song Huai Xi opened the stone and found out it wasn't a good jade, it would implicate them, and offending the Song family would have consequences. Therefore, she tried her best to distance themselves from Wei Jian Hao and even asked him to apologize to Song Huai Xi.
After the stone was opened, it turned out that stone 106 was an imperial green jade, bringing Miss Song a considerable profit. With Wei Jian Hao gone, Hali took the opportunity to purchase the stone she originally liked. However, it turned out to be a piece of worthless jade, resulting in a significant loss for her. The money she lost was actually provided by her grandmother as a test. She wanted to see if Hali could make the right choice. If Hali failed, she would not be able to work at her grandmother's Hu's company.
Delighted with the outcome, Song Huai Xi asked Wei Jian Hao to attend the Song family's banquet the next day and recorded his phone number in her mobile phone. Worried that Wei Jian Hao might not show up, she intentionally threatened him. If he didn't come, she would inform the Hu family that Wei Jian Hao had offended the Song family. In order not to burden Hali, Wei Jian Hao had no choice but to accept the invitation.
