Episode 5 recap: "The Light of Wenren secretly searched for the secret manual.
Xuanwu prepared a night robe for the Light of Wenren and urged him to hurry. The Light of Wenren and the High Priest arrived in the study and saw the secret manual on the table. They quickly took it away. Unexpectedly, Shangguan Zhengdao suddenly returned. The High Priest hid under the table, but the Light of Wenren didn't have time to hide and was seen by Shangguan Zhengdao. Shangguan Zhengdao saw the Light of Wenren dressed in black and asked if he was playing a dress-up game. The Light of Wenren quickly came up with an excuse.
Shangguan Zhengdao's father arrived and expressed concern about the secret manual. He wanted to come in and take a look. Shangguan Zhengdao said it was inconvenient, but his father insisted on entering. Shangguan Zhengdao personally escorted the Light of Wenren out from the back because it was curfew and she couldn't leave through the main entrance.
The Light of Wenren and the others studied the retrieved secret manual and discovered that it was a cookbook. The High Priest thought they might not have fully understood it and asked Xuanwu to think about it. The Light of Wenren and Xuanwu came to find Shangguan Zhengdao with a spatula and pot, but Shangguan Zhengdao was not in the mood for a lesson. Shangguan Zhengdao asked them what they wanted to do, whether they wanted to learn cooking. The Xuanwu Alliance stated that the Light of Wenren wanted to learn cooking, so they left.
Shangguan Zhengdao taught the Light of Wenren how to cook, and the Light of Wenren didn't know why his heart was racing recently."
