Episode 10 recap: Shan Shan uses her pregnancy as leverage.
Shan Shan, delighted upon discovering her pregnancy, believed she had the capital to be on equal footing with Liang Jingping. She intentionally flaunted the ring Wang Hai bought for her, trying to show off. Liang Jingping knew what was going on but remained composed on the surface, as if nothing had happened. She went about her usual routine of delivering gifts to her mother-in-law. In order to secure her position within the family, Shan Shan deliberately informed Wang Hai's mother about her pregnancy, hoping for her support in claiming her status. However, although Wang Hai's mother was happy, she didn't want Shan Shan to disclose this matter to Liang Jingping because she wanted Wang Hai to transfer his assets elsewhere.
Liang Jingping happened to see her mother-in-law begging Shan Shan in the hospital room. Liang Jingping pretended not to know and was furious, causing Shan Shan to leave. However, Shan Shan quickly found an opportunity to boast to Liang Jingping about the new car Wang Hai had bought for her, claiming it was better than Liang Jingping's car.
