Episode 7 recap: Shan Shan provokes Liang Jing.
Liang Jing monitored Shan Shan through her phone. One day, Shan Shan made a fish soup and Liang Jing, using the excuse of feeling a bit nauseous, refused to drink it and asked her mother-in-law to set it aside. Aware that Liang Jing didn't trust Shan Shan, the mother-in-law decided to taste the soup on Liang Jing's behalf. Unexpectedly, she got food poisoning and had to be hospitalized. In the hospital, Wang Hai learned that his mother had consumed the fish soup made by Shan Shan, resulting in food poisoning. He immediately concluded that Shan Shan intended to harm Liang Jing. When Shan Shan came to visit Liang Jing with a basket of fruit, Wang Hai and his mother drove her away, leaving Shan Shan feeling wronged, and she angrily threw the fruit basket and left.
The next day, Shan Shan intentionally sat in the hostess's exclusive seat to provoke Liang Jing. She talked about how everywhere in the house bore the traces of her past affection with Wang Hai, trying to make Liang Jing give up and leave. However, Liang Jing shattered Shan Shan's illusion and bluntly stated that the affection between her and Wang Hai was merely a man's instinct. She pointed out that Shan Shan was only relying on her youth and warned her that in a couple of years, she would also age. Liang Jing advised Shan Shan to stop being so stubborn. But Shan Shan refused to admit defeat and was determined to prove that she was the one who occupied Wang Hai's heart. She intentionally let Wang Hai know when Liu Xing approached her for a conversation.
As expected, Wang Hai became jealous. He made an excuse to go out for a night run and not only planned to take Shan Shan back but also punched Liu Xing. Liang Jing witnessed Wang Hai and Shan Shan kissing and advised Liu Xing not to interfere and assured him that she would handle the situation herself.
