Episode 3 recap: Miss Liang framed Cheng Biyuan.
After losing the competition, Miss Liang held a grudge against Cheng Biyuan. She specifically brought people to the Qi Wang Mansion to trouble Cheng Biyuan. Miss Liang ordered her maidservants to restrain Cheng Biyuan and forcefully push her into the courtyard's water tank. However, Cheng Biyuan didn't back down. Using her wit and intelligence, she turned the tables and pressed Liang An'er's head into the water tank. Liang An'er was tormented and screamed in pain.
Qi Wang, who was watching the unruly scene from the sidelines, intervened to stop the farce. He took the opportunity to explain to Liang An'er that he had no intention of being involved with her romantically. Liang An'er, feeling ashamed, left the mansion with the support of her maidservant. As a result, Qi Wang consumed Cheng Biyuan's yam dumpling soup and the poison took effect. His nose and mouth started bleeding, shocking Liang An'er. She blamed everything on Cheng Biyuan and attacked her with punches and kicks, preparing to execute her. However, Qi Wang intervened and stopped her, saying that a thorough investigation should be conducted before any judgment is made.
