Episode 4 recap: Peng Yu'an discovered that Zhao Jin and Xu Nuo were together.
Xu Nuo came to the hospital to deliver food to her grandmother and learned that Zhao Jin had already delivered the food. She then went to the hospital room of the sister of the hospital's head doctor to find Zhao Jin. Coincidentally, at that moment Zhao Jin was helping another girl in the ward and happened to be outside. Zhao Jin's sister could tell from their behavior that Zhao Jin and Xu Nuo didn't like each other. Xu Nuo found it strange and wondered how Zhao Jin's sister could tell. However, Zhao Jin's sister could sense it and when she asked why the two people she liked couldn't be together, Zhao Jin happened to walk in. Their conversation made Zhao Jin blame his sister, which made her feel wronged and she started to cry. Xu Nuo, witnessing Zhao Jin being harsh with his sister, took Zhao Jin outside.
Xu Nuo asked Zhao Jin to go back and apologize to his sister. Zhao Jin had prepared the words for an apology, but his sister kept crying and asked about her own test results. Zhao Jin didn't tell her the truth. Zhao Jin's business partner came to the pet hospital. Zhao Jin wanted to have more free time, so he planned to open his own pet hospital and indirectly asked his partner about it. However, he found out that running his own hospital would make him busier. His partner felt sorry for him and advised Zhao Jin to be a little selfish and find a partner.
Peng Yu'an took Xu Nuo's mother home, and Xu Nuo's mother kept urging them to get married. After Xu Nuo's mother got off the car, Zhao Jin told Xu Nuo that his parents were getting a divorce, so it was not appropriate to talk about marriage at that time. Xu Nuo's grandmother had surgery, and on the other hand, someone came to the company looking for Zhao Jin for investment purposes. He was reviewing the company's qualifications with Cong Shan and hadn't arrived at the operating room yet.
Meanwhile, Zhao Jin was working when suddenly he received a call from the police station. It turned out that Zhao Jin's father, Zhao Youzhi, had assaulted someone, and the police wanted to talk to Zhao Jin about compensation. After coming out, Zhao Jin complained about his father's reckless behavior and how he never considered Zhao Jin's situation. The father and son ended up arguing.
Zhao Youzhi learned that his daughter was hospitalized due to illness and went to the hospital to visit her. His daughter, being observant, noticed the injury on his forehead and guessed that he had been in a fight, repeatedly questioning him about it.
To avoid burdening Zhao Jin, Zhao Jin's sister wanted to wait until after her discharge to visit their father. However, Zhao Jin firmly refused. Peng Yu'an and Cong Shan went to a restaurant to have a meal, while Xu Nuo was preparing to feed the cat. During the search, she discovered that the cat had another episode of bloody stool. She called Zhao Jin for help, and he brought cat food to Xu Nuo's house. They examined the cat and found that it didn't have any major issues.
In the evening, the two of them went out together to chat. Zhao Jin expressed his willingness to take back his words about not wanting to be friends with Xu Nuo. Xu Nuo felt somewhat disappointed upon hearing this, but she pretended to be happy on the surface. Zhao Jin drove Xu Nuo home, and coincidentally, they were seen by Peng Yu'an. Both of them felt a bit flustered, but Zhao Jin acted ambiguously. Xu Nuo and Zhao Jin are now good friends, so even if they were seen together, it wouldn't be a big deal.
As expected, Peng Yu'an called Xu Nuo after seeing them together. Xu Nuo felt a bit nervous when she saw Peng Yu'an's call, but she still pretended to be calm and answered the phone. However, she deceived Peng Yu'an and didn't tell him the truth. Instead, she lied and said she was at home. Peng Yu'an accompanied Cong Shan home, and Cong Shan asked Peng Yu'an about his feelings just now. She even expressed that her parents were very satisfied with Peng Yu'an as a son-in-law.
Shi Ran returned from out of town and brought many gifts for Xu Nuo and her colleagues at the company. While they were chatting, Zhao Jin arrived. Shi Ran noticed that something was off between Xu Nuo and Zhao Jin, so she quickly pulled Xu Nuo aside and reminded her.
