Episode 6 recap: Promise has no intention of getting married.

Promise took the initiative to propose to Peng Yu'an, but upon hearing Promise's plea, Peng Yu'an evaded giving a direct answer about marriage. They kept dragging the matter without clearly stating whether they would marry or not, which greatly disappointed Promise. After Peng Yu'an dropped Promise off at her doorstep, he intended to have a good chat with her inside the car. However, at that moment, Cong Shan called twice. Seeing that it was Cong Shan calling, Promise pretended to be magnanimous and asked Peng Yu'an to attend to his work. But it was then that Peng Yu'an suggested coming to Promise's house after finishing work to spend the evening together. This made Promise slightly angry, feeling that Peng Yu'an was treating her home like a hotel, and she expressed her anger towards him.

Back home, Promise sat alone in the living room, feeling depressed. Her friend Shi Ran called to inquire about the situation. Promise felt that she couldn't betray Peng Yu'an, but Shi Ran understood Promise's feelings and supported her decision not to compromise and insisted on her own happiness. This made Promise shed tears.

Peng Yu'an and Cong Shan went to the equestrian club together. Peng Yu'an's father wanted them to be together, as it would bring many advantages for both sides in terms of business and development. After returning from Promise's place, Zhao Jin noticed that Promise had been feeling down. Their colleagues at work could also sense it. In the evening, Zhao Jin's business partner advised him, while Zhao Jin pretended to remain calm.

Shi Ran came to the pet hospital because her cat was sick again and she wanted to find Zhao Jin. She intentionally reminded Zhao Jin about Promise and mentioned that Promise was currently very sad. Later, while shopping at the supermarket, she informed Promise about the situation. Promise listened to it on the phone and even asked about Zhao Jin's current reaction. Coincidentally, Zhao Jin was also shopping at the supermarket, so Promise went to greet him.

Zhao Jin offered to drive Shi Ran to Promise's house, leaving Promise in the car. Promise also called Shi Ran to inquire about Zhao Jin's situation, but Shi Ran couldn't let Zhao Jin overhear their conversation, resulting in an awkward situation. After hanging up the phone, Promise's curiosity was piqued again, so she put on her clothes and prepared to get out of the car. As a result, Zhao Jin happened to be bringing Shi Ran over, and the two of them met once again.

In the evening, Peng Yu'an had dinner with colleagues, while Zhao Jin and Promise couldn't stop thinking about each other. During the meal, Zhao Jin and Promise exchanged text messages to arrange a meeting. Suddenly, Zhao Jin left the gathering and went to the pet hospital to wait for Promise. Just as Promise was preparing to go to the pet hospital to find Zhao Jin, she received a message from Peng Yu'an. Without paying any attention to it, Promise went straight to the pet hospital to meet Zhao Jin.

Meanwhile, Peng Yu'an and the others were having drinks and trying to coax Peng Yu'an into calling Promise out. Helplessly, Peng Yu'an called Promise, but she informed him that she was currently with Zhao Jin and refused any suggestion to meet, even pretending that she needed to sleep. Zhao Jin accompanied Promise home and apologized to her. Because it was Zhao Jin, Promise couldn't resist her love for him and broke their agreement of being just friends by going to a bridal shop with him.

At the door, Promise's mother anxiously awaited, and suddenly a taxi stopped. It was an elderly man, Promise's father. Promise's mother nervously brought her father into the house, and she took the initiative to suggest helping Promise's father repay his debts, as long as they could live a good life together. Promise's father was delighted upon hearing this.

Promise went to see her mother, and at that moment, her mother also mentioned the idea of remarrying Promise's father. However, Promise expressed that she didn't want to get married.
