Episode 31 recap: Lei Dongbao persists in his folly.
Upon seeing the photos of Lei Dongbao indulging in extravagant feasting and drinking, the villagers began discussing and criticizing him. Even Lei Dongbao's mother, who happened to be nearby, overheard their words and felt uneasy. She quietly left the scene. Meanwhile, Si Bao, who had arrived in the village by car, unintentionally overheard the conversation as well. He discreetly entered the house and instructed everyone to remove the photos of Lei Dongbao's indulgence. However, despite knowing that it was Si Bao's idea, the others reluctantly followed the organization's instructions.
On the other hand, Wei Chun Hong was at home working when her husband called angrily, complaining about her failure to prepare his meal and demanding money to cover expenses. Upon hearing his request for money, the person standing in front of Wei Chun Hong immediately denied it. When she finished the call, she instructed the nearby child to pack up and leave for a while. When Lei Dongbao leisurely returned home, he found no trace of anyone but noticed a letter on the table. Feeling disheartened, he sat in his car and stared into space.

Despite the circumstances, Shi Hongwei humbly expressed his willingness to seek advice from Song Yunfei for the sake of the local people. However, after seeing him off, Shi Hongwei went to the room where Li Quan, Lei Jiaobao, and Lei Zhengming were present to discuss solutions with Song Yunfei. But Song Yunfei, concerned about maintaining face, refused to acknowledge the difficulties they were facing. Shi Hongwei was disappointed once again, and he left the scene feeling sad. He went to his old friend's place to drink and contemplate Lei Dongbao's situation. This time, he sat alone in his car, thinking deeply. Coincidentally, he saw Lei Zhengming come out and they went together.
