Episode 17 recap: Tong Nian sought help from Liao Yuncheng.
Tong Nian stated that she herself came from Qianjun and was very clear about the quality of their products. It was absolutely impossible for them to have such defective goods. Tong Nian also presented a design drawing, which showed that this batch of goods was different from Qianjun's blueprint, indicating that they couldn't belong to Qianjun. The Minister of Production stated that it was a matter handled by the higher-ups and advised Tong Nian not to meddle in it.
Tong Nian went to see the minister, who said that he would report the matter to the higher-ups on Tong Nian's behalf since it involved two departments and he might not have the authority to handle it. Tong Nian approached other colleagues for help, but they were unwilling. Fortunately, Tong Nian ran into Liao Yuncheng and wanted to seek his assistance. Liao Yuncheng was aware that it concerned Qianjun, so he instructed his secretary to investigate and find out what was going on.
The Minister of Production called Tong Nian and asked her to come for a discussion regarding the issue with Qianjun. Tong Nian went to meet the minister, and the minister expressed great interest in getting to the bottom of the matter. He had asked Tong Nian to come in order to inquire about the situation. The Minister of Production mentioned that the blueprint was stored on his computer, but it had malfunctioned, so he asked Tong Nian to take a look.
Tong Nian came over to inspect the computer when the Minister of Production suddenly approached her, attempting to harass her. Tong Nian demanded that the Minister of Production show some restraint. Liao Yuncheng arrived just in time and confronted the Minister of Production, ultimately assaulting him. He then took Tong Nian away.
