Episode 12 recap: The Emperor wants Yunjiao to stay in the palace.
Upon learning that Yunjiao went to find Xueqing, Murong Cang went directly to find Xueqing. Yunjiao intended to tell Xueqing that she liked Murong Cang, but in fact, everything Xueqing did was also for Murong Cang. It turned out that love meant choosing between the two. Yunjiao wrote the character for "two" on the ground, and at that moment, the snowfall became heavier and heavier. Finally, Yunjiao collapsed in the snow due to exhaustion. Just then, a beam of light shone on Yunjiao, and Murong Cang covered her with his own clothes before carrying her away.
Xueqing watched this scene and realized that she had ultimately lost. The next day, when Yunjiao woke up, she found Fugui beside her. At first, she couldn't believe it, but she was overjoyed to learn that Fugui was still alive. Fugui said that Murong Cang had carried her back the previous night. This time, the Emperor summoned Murong Cang and also called for Yunjiao.
The Emperor inquired about how Yunjiao and Murong Cang had met, and Murong Cang truthfully confessed. The Emperor also wanted to keep Yunjiao by his side. Although Murong Cang initially wanted to refuse, the Emperor insisted, and Murong Cang had no choice but to agree, even if he was reluctant. General Hu went to find Xueqing and blamed her for releasing Fugui, as Fugui held too much evidence against him.
Xueqing didn't care about General Hu at all and even directly slapped him. General Hu was surprised to learn that Murong Cang had a woman by his side. Murong Cang went to see the Emperor to take Yunjiao back with him and called Yunjiao a naive little girl. The Emperor then had Yunjiao put on beautiful clothes and stand in front of Murong Cang. Murong Cang's eyes lit up, but he still pretended to be indifferent.
Just then, General Hu arrived. Upon learning that Murong Cang had a woman with him, General Hu thought she was going to be presented to the Emperor and tried to stop it. He happened to see Yunjiao and thought she resembled the late Empress.
