Episode 10 recap: The Fox Fairy: Painting Skin (Part 3).

After much contemplation, Lu Muxin debated whether to reveal her true feelings to Wang Yang or to continue as they always did, frequently visiting the tavern they used to go to. Lu Muxin tentatively asked Wang Yang about a woman who had loved him but was rejected. Wang Yang made no effort to conceal the truth and admitted that he admired her talent but found her appearance too ordinary. After hearing Wang Yang's response, Lu Muxin felt a pang in her heart. She finally understood that Wang Yang perhaps only appreciated her beauty.

While they were engrossed in conversation, Xiao Qi and Qianxia entered the room. Lu Muxin became flustered upon seeing Qianxia and hastily left. Wang Yang mistakenly thought it was due to jealousy and didn't pay much attention. Time passed swiftly, and soon it was their wedding night. Wang Yang caught a whiff of the foul odor emanating from Lu Muxin's body and deeply regretted his actions. This saddened Lu Muxin greatly, for she knew that it was the price she paid for her fox demon appearance.

On their wedding night, Wang Yang angrily left Lu Muxin alone. She was heartbroken. Although she was a talented woman, she had been repeatedly hurt by Wang Yang, both physically and spiritually. Qianxia and Xiao Qi looked at Lu Muxin before them and couldn't help but console her. They acknowledged the importance of beauty but reminded her that kindness of heart was also crucial. From that point on, Lu Muxin let go of her obsession and returned to her former self.
