During a conversation between Qian Xia and Xiao Qi about the Illusory Pavilion, Xiao Qi appears somewhat fearful. It seems that the woman in red clothing truly possesses the power to control life and death. However, Qian Xia believes that she doesn't harbor any malicious intent and is merely collecting people's negative thoughts. The ultimate purpose of the woman remains unclear.

Suddenly, Cui Shulan, the daughter of the Cui family, falls gravely ill. Qian Xia and the others are puzzled by her condition and consider seeking answers at the Illusory Pavilion. They hope that the illusions within the pavilion can provide insight into the nature of her illness. Xiao Qi and Qian Xia arrive at the Illusory Pavilion and learn from the woman in red that Cui Shulan has been poisoned by a rabbit demon. This revelation intrigues both of them.

Years ago, Ye Zijin bought a rabbit, unaware that it was a spirit rabbit. Over time, it transformed into a human and became Ye Zijin's servant girl named Qingqing. The two grew up together, innocent and carefree. Perhaps due to their deep love, Ye Zijin refused to let Qingqing become a concubine. Qingqing overheard a conversation between Ye Zijin and his mother and decided to leave.

Although Ye Zijin did not love Cui Shulan, they were a suitable match in terms of social status and had to marry. Just as Qingqing was about to depart, Cui Shulan fell seriously ill and remained bedridden. In the end, it was Qingqing who used her magic to save Cui Shulan's life.
