Episode 7 recap: Revenge Doll (Part 2).

Xiaolin, the original wife of Shangguan Jing, was deeply in love with him. However, because Shangguan Jing was poor and looked down upon by others, Xiaolin often felt inferior. She spent her days tinkering with antiques, hoping to become wealthy someday. Since she met Du Danni, they exchanged letters frequently. Xiaolin hoped that Shangguan Jing would propose to her soon so that they could get married and have everything they desired.

In order to live a wealthy life as soon as possible, Shangguan Jing lied about going out for business and specially made two dolls for Xiaolin. She hoped that the dolls would keep her company in Shangguan Jing's absence. In order to gather money for the betrothal gifts for Du's family, Shangguan Jing sold Xiaolin to a local wealthy man as a concubine. From that point on, Xiaolin disappeared, and no one knew where she went or whether she was alive or dead. All her grievances seemed to be embodied in the dolls, but nobody knew the truth.

Later, one of these dolls appeared in the marketplace and was coincidentally bought by Du Danni. As a result, Du Danni began hearing the cries of a baby, experiencing nightmares, and even accidentally killed Xiaolin. Now, she has become mentally unstable and can only notify the Du family to retrieve the doll. As for Shangguan Jing, who once abandoned Xiaolin in pursuit of fame, wealth, and power, he will naturally face the corresponding punishment.
