In the midst of a mild summer, Xiao Qi and Xiao Xia were drinking by the roadside when suddenly they heard the ramblings of a madwoman. Everyone felt astonished and perplexed by her words. Just as she finished speaking, a woman approached, muttering all the way. This was the face she spoke of. The more they looked, the stranger it seemed. She walked toward Xiao Qi and the others, still muttering incessantly. "People are all kind and beautiful at heart. It's the appearance that deceives them. How ridiculous people can be!" After saying that, she left, leaving Xiao Qi and Xiao Xia utterly bewildered.
Since arriving at the Illusionary Pavilion, Xiao Xia had diligently kept it clean. The landlady noticed and appreciated her efforts. Just as the two were engrossed in conversation, they suddenly spotted a woman wearing a veil. Lu Mu Xin, in her pursuit of peerless beauty, had been willing to harm herself repeatedly. It was all because she considered herself too ugly, even the man she loved rejected her.
Now, she was willing to pay any price to obtain the most beautiful face in the world. Unfortunately, one cannot solely rely on beauty to keep their beloved. The landlady couldn't help but feel pity for her.
