Episode 12 recap: Miss Wang was falsely accused of bribery and was dismissed from her position.
Li Li couldn't believe that she had paid a high price for a catfish. Helpless, she turned to A Bao for assistance. Many women surrounded A Bao, but he treated them all as friends. Xiao Ningbao advised him to clarify the situation to avoid further harm. Jinke emphasized the red lines regarding discipline in the foreign trade company. At this moment, Mei Ping informed Miss Wang to go to the organizational department. It turned out that she had been reported for bribery. Miss Wang strongly defended her innocence, claiming that she was loyal to her country and clients.
Mr. Fan understood Mei Ping's hardships and assured her that many people were helping Miss Wang, and she would eventually overcome this challenge. However, Mei Ping was surprised to see that Baozong and Li Li were together, laughing and talking. She wondered how Miss Wang would react if she found out. Li Li and Baozong arrived at Xinlanju. Li Li explained that the catfish had become aggressive, which explained its size. She clarified that her intention was not to open a restaurant, or else she wouldn't have involved Baozong.
She expressed her concerns and asked Baozong if he was worried that she would become the second Jin Fenghuang. Baozong denied it, but Li Li realized that her lie about not knowing Mr. A was similar to his lie about not knowing Jin Fenghuang. Later, A Bao told Li Li that Huanghe Road was upset, and Sheng Sigong lost the entire Huanghe Road in a game of mahjong.
A Bao accompanied Li Li home. They walked one after the other. When they reached her house, Li Li believed that A Bao would contact her on his own. As a storm approached, A Bao directly walked back to Li Li's place with an umbrella and returned home in the rain after returning the umbrella. Mei Ping exaggerated the story of Li Li and Baozong to Miss Wang. Although Miss Wang didn't show anger, her actions betrayed her true feelings.
She didn't directly confront Baocang but muttered to herself in the elevator. Ye Shu coincidentally encountered Miss Wang and revealed Mr. Fan's involvement in direct sales, bypassing A Bao. Jinke couldn't find Miss Wang and entrusted Mei Ping with the documents to inform her and ask her to come back to the organizational department.
Mei Ping casually asked if it was a promotion to section chief. Jinke hurriedly called a doctor, which immediately sparked resentment in Mei Ping. She warned Jinke to remind Miss Wang to be careful since she had sheltered Baozong and received the gift of golden pearl earrings. Miss Wang arrived at Zhizhen Garden in a rage. Mr. Fan asked the guest to wait outside while Miss Wang criticized him for being ungrateful.
Mr. Fan tried his best to explain that he hadn't done anything unethical and was still willing to help Baozong a little. Before leaving, Miss Wang asked Min Min to pass a message to Li Li, advising her to focus on running the restaurant and not to use A Bao as a personal label.
At this point, Miss Wang successfully handled the export quota. Ye Shu urged A Bao to handle his relationship with Miss Wang because she played a crucial role in his current success.
Miss Wang arrived at the shop opposite Zhizhen Garden, and Mr. Wei came to deliver some news. He publicly expressed his willingness to support Miss Wang. Ye Shu mentioned that it was the first time Miss Wang came here for personal matters, indicating the significance of her feelings for him.
A Bao tried to apologize in advance by ordering food for her, but the first thing Miss Wang did when they met was to inquire about his relationship with Li Li. Their conversation became heated, and they ended up parting on unfriendly terms. Miss Wang went to the office and reminisced about her first encounter with A Bao and all the ups and downs they had experienced together. She had always worked hard to climb the ranks in Jinke.
Tao Tao scolded A Bao for not knowing how to please women, as it was unusual for someone to get angrier the more they were appeased. Both A Bao and Tao Tao were troubled by women. Tao Tao was getting scolded by Fang Mei every day. The next day, Ye Shu informed A Bao that he heard Miss Wang cried all night and wanted to resign. Before Miss Wang could submit her resignation to Jinke, she was taken away by personnel from the organizational department.
A Bao went to the foreign trade company, hoping that Jinke could reject Miss Wang's resignation. Jinke informed A Bao that Miss Wang was facing bigger problems now and that resigning might not be as simple as it seemed. Jinke advised A Bao to maintain his relationship with Miss Wang. Miss Wang mistakenly thought that the organizational department was considering a promotion for her. She proudly discussed her achievements throughout her career, but during the conversation, she realized that she had been reported and implicated due to the "pearl earrings" incident.
She explained that she had bought them through frugal living. However, the organizational department had already sent someone to inquire about the price at Hongling Store. Despite Miss Wang's explanations, the organizational department did not believe her and dismissed her. Miss Wang returned to her office to pack her belongings. Mei Ping pretended to be concerned, but when Miss Wang didn't appreciate her gesture, she intentionally claimed that she was just looking out for her. This remark sparked discussions among the colleagues. When Miss Wang tried to confront Mei Ping, Jinke intervened and stopped her, as he didn't believe Miss Wang either.
A Bao searched everywhere for Miss Wang and guessed that she would be in one particular place. By that time, Miss Wang had already eaten a meal for three people. A Bao found Miss Wang, but she was worried about burdening him and refused to meet him. A Bao comforted Miss Wang over the phone, assuring her that he would clarify everything with Jinke.
At that moment, A Bao found Hongling and asked her to provide the income statement for the pearl earrings.
