Episode 11 recap: Ye Si Qi becomes Wei Xue Song's assistant.
When President Xu found Hao Wei Lai, they were having a great time at the amusement park. Ah Quan and Dao Ba changed into casual clothes and played like young people, feeling especially happy. When they saw President Xu approaching, they stood up quickly, like children caught doing something wrong. President Xu didn't blame them for playing, but he was a bit upset that they didn't invite him to join. Everyone's clothes were bought by Xia Yuan, and President Xu didn't want to be left behind, so he joined the fun. Laughter filled the amusement park.
President Xu and his old buddies couldn't help but sigh, thanking Xia Yuan and Hao Wei Lai for allowing them to experience youth once again. A Hui went back to the estate to retrieve something, and President Xu wanted to have a good talk with him. However, A Hui didn't want anything to do with him, which made President Xu angry. He expressed that if A Hui didn't consider this place as his home, he shouldn't come back. A stubborn A Hui turned around and left, abandoning the things he was supposed to retrieve. This made President Xu both angry and frustrated, and he looked much older.
Hao Wei Lai saw glimpses of his father in President Xu. He understood A Hui's feelings, as he also had a strained relationship with his father. Looking back now, he felt quite guilty in his heart. He missed his father but never took any action. Hao Wei Lai wanted to help President Xu, but since President Xu never mentioned A Hui's situation, he didn't know how to ask. Unexpectedly, an opportunity came quickly. One day, Ah Quan mentioned that ever since A Hui's mother, Wang Hui Zhen, passed away, A Hui stopped paying attention to President Xu. The reason was that at that time, President Xu was busy with a big business deal and didn't know that Wang Hui Zhen had a heart condition. When he returned home and realized the situation was dire, he rushed her to the hospital, but Wang Hui Zhen had already passed away.
A Hui believed that President Xu lacked affection for both Wang Hui Zhen and himself, and their relationship became very strained. Hao Wei Lai knew that on that day, President Xu was so heartbroken that he didn't even eat. So, in order to make President Xu happy, Hao Wei Lai intentionally cooperated with Xia Yuan at the mahjong table, helping President Xu with his moves. Hao Wei Lai deliberately created opportunities for Xia Yuan and A Hui to be alone together, hoping that Xia Yuan could persuade A Hui to forgive President Xu. However, he didn't expect that A Hui would want to pursue Xia Yuan. He intended to confess his feelings to Xia Yuan when Xia Yuan's parents called via video chat, causing Hao Wei Lai to miss his chance. The next day, when Xia Yuan asked him about it, he didn't have the courage to bring it up again.
Knowing that Xia Yuan and A Hui had a good relationship, President Xu privately talked to Xia Yuan, hoping that she could help persuade A Hui to come back home. When he learned that Xia Yuan and A Hui met during a time when A Hui was on the verge of attempting suicide, he felt particularly sad. He knew that A Hui always kept things bottled up inside and hoped that Xia Yuan could provide him with guidance.
On Ye Si Qi's first day, she arrived late. Wei Xue Song patiently explained the tasks she needed to do. However, as soon as he mentioned not entering locked rooms, Ye Si Qi immediately made a mistake. This left Wei Xue Song quite helpless. What surprised him even more was that Ye Si Qi couldn't cook and didn't want to wake up early. He couldn't help but wonder what kind of assistant he had hired.
