Episode 15 recap: A Hui reconciles with President Xu.
Xia Yuan finds A Hui and hopes that they can spend Christmas together. However, A Hui declines the invitation because when his mother was alive, she was the one who arranged Christmas celebrations, and it brings back painful memories for him. Xia Yuan tells A Hui about President Xu possibly having Alzheimer's disease and encourages him to reconcile with President Xu sooner rather than later to avoid future regrets. A Hui initially believes this to be a trick by President Xu to lure him back, but upon realizing it is true, he feels a mix of complex emotions. Later that day, Xia Yuan brings back the soup that A Hui made for President Xu, which greatly pleases him. President Xu immediately expresses his willingness to participate in the Christmas gathering.
Wei Xue Song returns from his morning run and discovers that Ye Si Qi is not in the room. He hears the sound of broken porcelain coming from the kitchen and rushes downstairs to check. Ye Si Qi is embarrassed to let Wei Xue Song see the mess in the kitchen and simply mentions that she woke up early today. However, Wei Xue Song sees through her anxious demeanor and instructs her to wash her face while he cleans up the kitchen. Ye Si Qi quietly watches Wei Xue Song earnestly tidying up and can't help but smile.
Wei Xue Song specially prepares breakfast for Ye Si Qi, which makes her think highly of him. However, she soon realizes that Wei Xue Song quickly presents her with a compensation form, which infuriates her. She vents all her anger on the breakfast, much to Wei Xue Song's silent amusement.
Hao Wei Lai and Xia Yuan come to deliver wine to Wei Xue Song. Ye Si Qi takes this rare opportunity to chat with Xia Yuan for a long time, leaving Hao Wei Lai and Wei Xue Song feeling awkward due to their lack of common topics. Wei Xue Song notices Hao Wei Lai's discomfort while reading the newspaper, so he suggests that Hao Wei Lai watch TV. Hao Wei Lai sees a wildlife program and assumes that Wei Xue Song also enjoys it, immediately starting a conversation about it. However, Wei Xue Song's interest lies elsewhere, leading the conversation into another awkward moment.
After Xia Yuan and Ye Si Qi finish their conversation, Hao Wei Lai lets out a sigh of relief and invites Ye Si Qi and Wei Xue Song to join a Christmas party at the winery before leaving. Back at the winery, Hao Wei Lai finds President Xu drinking alone and tries to dissuade him. He then raises his own glass and drinks it all, making President Xu laugh.
President Xu just made a phone call to Old Liu, but quickly forgets about it and intends to call him again. Hao Wei Lai quickly reminds him, and President Xu pats his own head, lamenting his forgetfulness. Suddenly, President Xu mentions that A Hui will come back to taste the dishes. Hao Wei Lai has to inform him that A Hui has already returned and tried a dish, which was Kung Pao Chicken. At the time, A Hui was concerned about President Xu's health and didn't allow him to eat much.
President Xu realized that it was his first time eating a dish made by A Hui, and he had forgotten about it, which made him feel even more remorseful. In order to host the Christmas gathering, everyone at the winery pitched in to decorate it beautifully. Hao Wei Lai and Xia Yuan proposed that everyone prepare a Christmas gift and draw them randomly during the event. Although President Xu agreed, he couldn't muster much enthusiasm because he was worried that A Hui wouldn't come back. He couldn't help but secretly ask Xia Yuan about it. Xia Yuan reassured President Xu once again that A Hui would definitely come back. This made President Xu extremely excited, and he immediately went to prepare a gift, with a smile on his face.
Xia Yuan felt nervous at the thought of meeting Pan Ni and quickly touched up her makeup. Pan Ni had heard about Xia Yuan multiple times from Hao Wei Lai and was delighted to see her. The two of them entered the winery together. Wei Xue Song accompanied Ye Si Qi to the Christmas gathering. Ye Si Qi was excited as it was her first time attending such an event. She couldn't resist trying the delicious food on the table before it officially started. Wei Xue Song reminded her that it was impolite to do so. Ye Si Qi asked Wei Xue Song to help take photos and even put a festive headband on him to create a lively atmosphere. She also asked Wei Xue Song to wear reindeer antler clips for herself.
Pan Ni was surprised to run into Wei Xue Song at the gathering. They had a private drink together and talked about recent happenings. Wei Xue Song learned that Pan Ni was there to shoot some outdoor scenes and told her to reach out to him directly if she needed any assistance. President Xu had been eagerly anticipating A Hui's return, but everyone had arrived except for A Hui. This made him feel down, but Xia Yuan assured him that A Hui would definitely come. After a while, they finally entered together.
When A Hui said "Dad," President Xu became both excited and happy, and the atmosphere became lively. The gift-opening session soon arrived, and A Hui picked a gift for President Xu that perfectly matched his preferences. Hao Wei Lai was worried that someone might pick the portrait he had drawn for Xia Yuan, so he quickly asked Xia Yuan to choose a gift first. He specifically instructed her to take the gift he had prepared, while he took the gift she had prepared. This made him extremely happy.
