Episode 17 recap: Ye Si Qi and Wei Xue Song's relationship is heating up.
Before Pan Ni leaves the country, she specifically arranges a private conversation with Xia Yuan and informs her about Hao Wei Lai's father's bankruptcy. Xia Yuan is surprised to learn that it was because one of the managers under Hao Wei Lai's father secretly forged client's design drawings and produced and sold furniture, which resulted in a report. Now, not only have they sold their house, but it's unlikely that the factory will receive new orders after completing the current ones. Xia Yuan promises Pan Ni not to tell Hao Wei Lai about this matter and agrees to be there for him when he faces difficulties.
Hao Wei Lai sits alone on the steps, pondering the reason why his father hasn't been in contact and speculating on what Pan Ni might have told Xia Yuan. When Xia Yuan returns, he eagerly asks her, confessing that he hasn't had his first kiss since he was five years old, despite having good relationships with the opposite sex. To Hao Wei Lai's surprise, Pan Ni didn't mention anything about it, and he ends up revealing this information himself.
Seeing the happy Hao Wei Lai, Xia Yuan worries that he will be upset when he learns about the bankruptcy at home. She specifically asks Hao Wei Lai to promise her that no matter what difficult situation he encounters, he will tell her immediately. They then share a glass of red wine. Hao Wei Lai's team wins first prize, and he tries to tell his father the good news in the hope of securing more orders. However, his father continues to remain silent, leaving him disappointed. Xia Yuan persuades Hao Wei Lai, telling him that his father must love him very much but is not good at expressing it. Hao Wei Lai finds this statement strange, and Xia Yuan quickly changes the subject.
The winery business is on track, but President Xu's health deteriorates day by day. However, A Hui has returned to be by his side. Hao Wei Lai and Xia Yuan feel that there is no need for them to stay at the winery and plan to leave, although they haven't decided where to go yet. Suddenly, Sakura appears alone on the lawn, surprising Xia Yuan, who rushes to grab Sakura but ends up being brought down by her. In the process, Sakura accidentally lands on top of Hao Wei Lai and kisses him. Xia Yuan is wide-eyed with astonishment and quickly gets up and finds an excuse to run away. Hao Wei Lai touches his lips, savoring the kiss, while Xia Yuan is left blushing and feeling embarrassed, trying to convince herself that she is an adult and it's not a big deal, but still unable to remain calm.
To celebrate her parents' wedding anniversary, Xia Yuan arranges for them to travel to Hainan. This not only touches her parents but also makes them more concerned about her love life, hoping that she will let go of the past and interact more with suitable people, even if they are foreigners.
A Hui secretly asks Xia Yuan to close her eyes and leads her somewhere. When Xia Yuan opens her eyes, she sees A Hui holding a rose, kneeling on one knee, and confessing his feelings to her. Xia Yuan, looking at the sincere A Hui, can only reject him because she already has feelings for Hao Wei Lai.
Upon learning about the meteor shower, Ye Si Qi excitedly grabs a telescope and simulates watching the meteor shower. However, Wei Xue Song plans to break his promise and play basketball with his friends instead. Ye Si Qi immediately pleads with Wei Xue Song to keep his promise, and after much persuasion, Wei Xue Song reluctantly cancels his plans with his friends and takes Ye Si Qi to the mountains to set up a tent. Ye Si Qi is thrilled by the beautiful scenery in front of her. After setting up the tent, it starts to get dark. Ye Si Qi wants to take a walk, but Wei Xue Song warns her about snakes in the bushes. This scares Ye Si Qi, who is afraid of snakes, and she quickly withdraws her foot. Just as she was about to return to the tent, she steps on a tree branch, thinking it's a snake, and immediately clings to Wei Xue Song. Embarrassed, she realizes it was just a tree branch and awkwardly gets off Wei Xue Song and enters the tent.
While Ye Si Qi eats potato chips and waits for the meteor shower, Wei Xue Song, who planned to rest, finds it impossible to sleep. Ye Si Qi insists that Wei Xue Song wait with her and keeps pestering him until she falls asleep first. Wei Xue Song smiles at Ye Si Qi's sleeping face and soon falls asleep as well. When he is awakened by the alarm clock, he quickly wakes up Ye Si Qi and successfully allows her to see the meteor shower. Excitedly, she tightly embraces Wei Xue Song, bringing them closer together.
Xia Yuan decides to leave the winery with Hao Wei Lai, which makes him very happy. Hao Wei Lai talks about his strained relationship with his father, which originates from when he was ten years old. His father promised to take him to an amusement park but broke his promise. This continued every year, and with his mother's death, Hao Wei Lai no longer knew what his father was thinking. However, he now believes that his father must love him.
President Xu's condition worsens, and one day he doesn't even recognize Xia Yuan, mistaking her for A Hui's girlfriend and asking when they will get married. This frustrates Hao Wei Lai, who quickly takes President Xu away. President Xu mistakes Hao Wei Lai, who came to bid farewell, for A Hui and shows affection towards him, making Hao Wei Lai feel his father's love. He refuses to let his father gradually forget about him and decides to contact him.
