Episode 7 recap: Hao Wei Lai worked as a laborer to protect Xia Yuan.
Ye Si Qi didn't like Qiao Bin following them, so she drove him away. Hao Wei Lai reminded Ye Si Qi that Qiao Bin was physically strong but simple-minded, and there was a high chance he would get lost. Worried, Ye Si Qi quickly went to find Qiao Bin.Qiao Bin was delighted to see that Ye Si Qi still cared about him. When Qiao Bin offered her a blanket and a hot drink, she invited him to have a meal together, but he declined, considering Ye Si Qi's feelings.
On that day, Xia Yuan was reading the messages sent by Ye Si Qi when she turned her head and was startled to find Hao Wei Lai getting too close to her. She felt uneasy. Hao Wei Lai learned that Xia Yuan was going out for a meal and wanted to join. Xia Yuan insisted that he should work first and then eat, but Hao Wei Lai preferred to eat first and work later. That evening, Qiao Bin, Ye Si Qi, Hao Wei Lai, and Xia Yuan went out to have fun together. Just when they were all enjoying themselves, Loris called Xia Yuan and invited her to join a dinner party. Xia Yuan initially refused, but Loris hinted that there would be many Chinese people at the party and she could inquire about Song Hang Yu's whereabouts. Xia Yuan immediately changed her mind and decided to go.
Hao Wei Lai always felt that Loris had ill intentions and repeatedly reminded Xia Yuan to send him her location for safety before continuing to play with Qiao Bin and Ye Si Qi. That night, Loris learned that his partner was collaborating with President Xu, which made him very unhappy. When President Xu arrived, Loris threatened him with retaliation, but President Xu was not afraid of Loris's threats, leaving Loris frustrated.
Xia Yuan took the opportunity to approach President Xu and inquire about Song Hang Yu's whereabouts. President Xu noticed that Xia Yuan was not only Chinese but also Loris's personal assistant. He warned Xia Yuan about Loris's questionable character and advised her to be careful. He also handed her his business card, offering his help if she needed it. When Loris was driving Xia Yuan back, Hao Wei Lai had been waiting in the cold wind for a long time. Loris was particularly displeased with Hao Wei Lai's act of putting a coat on Xia Yuan and immediately ordered the driver to leave. Xia Yuan appreciated Hao Wei Lai's considerate gesture and bid him goodnight before leaving.
As Hao Wei Lai passed by the park, he saw President Xu hitting a tree as part of his exercise routine and couldn't help but be curious.
