Episode 17 recap: Song Huai Ning aroused suspicion in Lin Wen Yu.
Duan Xunchu Chu, heartbroken, confessed his feelings to Lin Wen Yu, but Lin Wen Yu, considering her identity as Duan Xunchu Chu's sister-in-law, drove him away. His departure also caused pain to Lin Wen Yu. Duan Xunchu Chu assured Lin Wen Yu that she would be treated well as his wife in the future, but Lin Wen Yu couldn't accept him and falsely claimed that she was not ready for the role of a wife yet.

When Song Huai Ning left, she secretly followed him and saw him meeting a servant. Using the excuse of delivering an invitation, Song Huai Ning returned to the Song family, and Lin Wen Yu accompanied him. In the study at the Song family's residence, Lin Wen Yu searched for evidence and unintentionally discovered a key inside a lampshade. She used the key to open a box and found several letters.
