Episode 6 recap: Wu Jun was frightened to the point of losing consciousness in the haunted house.
In the evening, Cheng Yao had prepared the meal and was waiting for Qian Heng. During dinner, Cheng Yao originally wanted to discuss the case, but Qian Heng only said to keep her distance from the people involved. This was also a standard for being a good lawyer, considering that emotions should not change one's perspective. However, Cheng Yao felt that Qian Heng was too indifferent.

Soon, Qian Heng asked Cheng Yao to cook again. Cheng Yao intentionally sang a song, and as expected, Qian Heng fell asleep in his room. This resulted in Qian Heng not finishing his work materials, and the next morning, he harshly criticized Cheng Yao. However, because of this incident, Cheng Yao became more certain that Qian Heng had a vulnerability and she had leverage over him.
Today, they were going to meet Xu Jun, the husband of Bai Xingmeng, and it turned out that the lawyer he brought was acquainted with Cheng Yao.
The adaptation of the insomnia storyline is actually done quite well. In the novel, the character's bad temper is initially portrayed as a direct and innate trait. But in the drama, it's like the character has transitioned from two-dimensional to three-dimensional, with many invisible aspects visually presented.
It definitely amplifies the flaws of this personality trait, linking the bad temper with insomnia. This helps the audience better understand the character's disposition. When I can't sleep well, my temper worsens, and with a bad temper, I become very sarcastic.
The character's tsundere nature is preserved, and the outward manifestation of being sharp-tongued is rationalized.
