Episode 10 recap: Gu Cheng secretly monitored Yan Zhen's phone.
When faced with Gu Cheng's confession, Yan Zhen had an impulse to escape for a moment, but now An Shi Group needed her, and she wouldn't leave. Yan Zhen remembered that before Chu Zejia left, he had used his phone to send her a message about what she might encounter next, telling her not to panic. Unexpectedly, Chu Zejia got into trouble, and just one minute before that, Gu Cheng called her and asked her to come out. She wanted to know the connection inside.
Gu Cheng admitted that there were indeed some things he hadn't told Yan Zhen, but they had nothing to do with Chu Zejia's murder. Yan Zhen left with Gu Cheng, and he originally wanted to send her back, but Yan Zhen declined politely as she had a driver. Gu Cheng looked at Yan Zhen, who nodded to him, and he remembered the Yan Zhen from their campus days, a smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.
Upon seeing Yan Zhen, Chu Xin reproached her for not caring about her own safety, knowing that Gu Cheng had an issue yet still wanting to meet him. Yan Zhen didn't explain, silently speculating in her heart, wanting to know how long Chu Xin would endure before admitting that he was Chu Zejia.
Chu Xin saw Gu Cheng and Yan Zhen together at the entrance of the art gallery. After Yan Zhen left, he went to confront Gu Cheng, and reluctantly, Gu Cheng agreed to take Chu Xin home. To provoke Yan Zhen, Chu Ze'an intentionally invited a few women to drink at home. Suddenly, his phone received a text message, revealing that Gu Cheng was monitoring Yan Zhen's phone. Then, Yan Zhen and Chu Ze'an staged a play together, not only exposing Gu Cheng's ulterior motives toward Yan Zhen but also mentioning that only Gu Cheng was present when the archives were sealed, and only Gu Cheng knew her whereabouts on the day she was poisoned.
