Episode 9 recap: Ji Lingsu gained recognition from the Lin family.
That evening, Lin's father played chess with Ji Lingsu. It was his third challenge, and Lin's father was well aware of Ji Lingsu's experiences from childhood to adulthood. When asked why he was interested in Lin Yumeng, Ji Lingsu expressed that it was Lin Yumeng's sincere and attractive personality. As they spoke, Ji Lingsu won a game against Lin's father. Lin's mother prepared a variety of dishes, even though Ji Lingsu couldn't handle alcohol and ended up completely drunk with Lin's father. They became like sworn brothers. As Lin's father looked at his daughter, whom he had raised since childhood, about to become someone's wife, he started crying and mentioned how Lin Yumeng had worked part-time at a martial arts gym in high school to support the family.
