Episode 11 recap: Ji Wan'er developed a secret affection for Gongye Qi.
While Gongye Qi was still drinking tea, Ji Wan'er approached him. Suddenly, Ji Wan'er remembered that the fragrance she had smelled that day belonged to Gongye Qi. In fact, she had already guessed that the person she had seen yesterday was Gongye Qi. Ji Wan'er did not inquire why her memories were erased, which surprised Gongye Qi to some extent. However, Ji Wan'er didn't care about these things and even said she wouldn't interfere in any matters concerning Gongye Qi. The two of them chatted and got along well.
Hua Qing Ge quietly observed the two of them from the side because he knew that they would develop feelings for each other, but it would ultimately turn into a tragedy. Wei Guifei went to the Emperor to complain again, believing that her son's unfortunate situation was caused by Liu Xiang. The Emperor ordered Ji Chu to thoroughly investigate the matter. The Empress also criticized Ji Yun for publicly dancing with Hua Qing Ge, deeming it inappropriate. After all, Hua Qing Ge is now Ji Chu's consort, so it would be better for them to maintain a certain distance. Ji Yun was also summoned by the Emperor for questioning. After learning that his younger brother had already found some clues, he advised him to protect their family. Ji Chu also informed Gongye Qi about Xiaoying, who was actually Hua Qing Ge, but Gongye Qi felt that something was off. Gongye Qi worried that Ji Chu planting a bomb near him would be extremely dangerous. However, Ji Chu discovered that Ji Yun also seemed to have a special affection for Hua Qing Ge, so he thought it would be better to manipulate Ji Yun and keep Hua Qing Ge by his side.
Hua Qing Ge wanted to leave, but Ji Wan'er believed that now that she had just shown herself, suddenly leaving would raise suspicions. Ji Wan'er asked Hua Qing Ge to promise that she would appear as Ji Chu's wife in public when required. Reluctantly, Hua Qing Ge agreed.
Ji Wan'er also assured Hua Qing Ge that she could protect her. Hua Qing Ge immediately embraced Ji Wan'er because, in the novel, Ji Wan'er was the only sister cherished by Ji Chu, and she would be safe only by Ji Wan'er's side. However, at that moment, Ji Chu happened to overhear their conversation from behind. Upon learning that Hua Qing Ge wanted to leave the Wangfu, he strongly opposed it. Hua Qing Ge meekly responded, and Ji Chu questioned whether she was involved with Ji Yun. Hua Qing Ge admitted it and stated that Ji Yun was a beacon of hope for everyone, and she needed to help her. After saying that, she was afraid of being hit by Ji Chu, so she took the opportunity to run away.
Ji Wan'er then informed Ji Chu that Hua Qing Ge didn't actually want to find Ji Yun or go to the study. Ji Chu didn't let anyone continue to follow her. Ji Yun also arrived at the study, and everyone analyzed the current situation. They couldn't figure out the problem with Liu Xiang's condition, especially since Lin Xi Yao's investigation didn't find any signs of poisoning. However, at that moment, Lin Xi Yao came and told Ji Yun that she had reexamined Liu Xiang's body and found indications of poisoning in the abdomen.
Ji Yun and Hua Qing Ge went to the dungeon together. They planned to reenact the entire process of Liu Xiang's stabbing, hoping to find some useful clues.
