Episode 1 recap: 墨肆年 is going to marry Bai Jinse.
Bai Jinse (played by Sun Zijun) is an outstanding jewelry designer who unintentionally discovers that her boyfriend, Zheng Huaichen, has cheated on her with her sister, Bai Linlin. She finds it hard to believe and accept this revelation. Bai Jinse recalls various signs from the past that hinted at the situation, but she never thought in that direction. What surprises her even more is that Bai Linlin is eagerly seeking to take her place.
When Mo Siniang gets on a car, a CEO pursues him, pleading him not to acquire the company. However, Mo Siniang shows no patience and leaves. While at the Civil Affairs Bureau, Mo Siniang's engagement is broken by his fiancée. He feels no sadness, only a sense of wasted time, and complains that his assistant suggested such a lousy idea. Coincidentally, Bai Jinse arrives at the Civil Affairs Bureau and is noticed by Mo Siniang.
Bai Jinse sees her boyfriend, Zheng Huaichen, who is a scumbag, looking for her. She quickly hides in Mo Siniang's embrace, leaving Mo Siniang astonished. Seeing Zheng Huaichen in the distance, Mo Siniang understands the situation and embraces Bai Jinse to help her avoid the trouble. Bai Jinse feels embarrassed and doesn't know what to say.
Bai Jinse tells Mo Siniang that she mistook him for her boyfriend's bodyguard, hence her actions. She expresses her desire to collaborate with Mo Siniang. Mo Siniang knows Bai Jinse's true identity and her expertise in jewelry, which is beneficial to him. He proposes that Bai Jinse marry him so that he can help her. Bai Jinse is shocked after hearing this.
