Episode 17 recap: Song Jin accidentally pushed Song Lao.
Song Jin overheard a conversation between Bai Jinse and Mo Siniann. Bai Jinse wanted to make a necklace just like her mother's as the auction item for the upcoming auction. The promotion for this auction was extensive, and Bai Jinse thought her biological parents might even see it. Mo Siniann supported Bai Jinse's decision and thought it was a great idea. Song Jin, however, was furious and displeased.
Bai Jinse received the necklace and was ecstatic. It looked identical to her mother's necklace, except for the different gemstones. Bai Jinse worked late into the night, and Mo Siniann stayed by her side, which made Bai Jinse very happy. Mo Siniann believed it was something he should do. When Song Jin entered and saw them being affectionate, she was infuriated. She suppressed her anger and demanded that Bai Jinse hand over the necklace.
Song Jin's father came to see his daughter and was looking forward to Song Jin's performance. Bai Jinse was happy to see Chairman Song again. During the presentation of the auction items, Bai Jinse noticed that her item had been switched. Seeing people below discussing it, she had a quick idea. She told everyone that what she intended to auction was a story and explained that she was raising funds for orphans. Bai Jinse revealed that she herself was an orphan. Song Jin felt something was amiss and asked her father to leave, but Chairman Song was convinced that Bai Jinse must know something.
As Song Jin chased after her father and unintentionally tugged him, he fell on the stairs. Song Jin quickly hid and blamed Bai Jinse for it, even instructing the reporters to capture the moment. She accused Bai Jinse of personal revenge in public.
