Episode 2 recap: Bai Linlin drugged Bai Jinse.
Bai Jinse wanted to reclaim everything that belonged to her, but under helplessness, she reluctantly agreed to marry Mo Siniann. Mo Siniann informed Bai Jinse that his grandfather held an ace card that would determine the heir of the family. Only after she got married could she inherit this legacy. If Bai Jinse possessed exceptional abilities, she would receive the assistance of Hengrui. After much consideration, Bai Jinse couldn't resist and went to find Mo Siniann.
When Bai Jinse arrived at Mo Siniann's house, she noticed that there was nothing inside and assumed that Mo Siniann had just moved. Mo Siniann, coldly, stated that he had been living there all along. Bai Jinse, seeing Mo Siniann's indifference, signed the contract. She didn't know how to address Mo Siniann, so he told her to familiarize herself with the surroundings, pay attention to her own emotions, and not to become infatuated with him. Bai Jinse hesitated for a moment but agreed.
Upon learning that Bai Linlin's design drafts were plagiarized, Zheng Huaichen became somewhat panicked. Little did Zheng Huaichen know that it was Bai Jinse who had designed them. He still wanted Bai Jinse to clear Bai Linlin's name and expose Zheng Huaichen's true face during a press conference. Enraged, Zheng Huaichen attempted to hit Bai Jinse but was stopped by Mo Siniann, who announced that he would support Bai Jinse.
Bai Linlin was also afraid that her reputation would be ruined and quickly apologized to Bai Jinse, claiming that Zheng Huaichen had seduced her. Bai Jinse, without hesitation, slapped Bai Linlin. Bai Jinse was grateful for Mo Siniann's help and informed him that she had to go back home for a while, to which Mo Siniann agreed. Bai Jinse returned home to pack her things but was asked by her father to have dinner and to accept an apology from Bai Linlin. Her father wanted Bai Jinse to forgive Bai Linlin, but Bai Jinse refused. This made her father very angry. As Bai Jinse prepared to leave, she suddenly felt drugged, as Bai Linlin intended to harm her.
