Episode 7 recap: 墨肆年 felt jealous.
Feng Xiaoxi frightened Bai Jinse, who was puzzled as to why Feng Xiaoxi was holding a grudge against her when she hadn't done anything to offend her. Feng Xiaoxi believed that Bai Jinse was only receiving attention from others because of her good looks and didn't possess any real talent. Bai Jinse calmly responded that she had earned her position based on her abilities and had no ill intentions towards Feng Xiaoxi.
Feng Xiaoxi, in a fit of rage, attempted to throw sulfuric acid at Bai Jinse, but Mo Si Nian arrived and protected her. Bai Jinse was concerned when she saw Mo Si Nian's injured hand. Feng Xiaoxi realized that she was in big trouble. Bai Jinse felt somewhat guilty for causing Mo Si Nian's injury, but he assured her that she didn't need to worry and instructed her to continue working.
Mo Si Nian wanted Bai Jinse to help him bathe, but she felt he was crossing a line and wanted to leave. Inadvertently, she ended up kissing Mo Si Nian. Both of them were stunned and felt a bit awkward. Bai Jinse quickly took the opportunity to go to sleep, while Mo Si Nian received a serious phone call from his mother, causing his expression to become solemn. Mo Si Nian left a message for Bai Jinse, asking her to meet him at Cui Feng Ge at eight o'clock that evening and suggesting that she dress nicely.
While waiting for Mo Si Nian, Bai Jinse ran into her senior, which reminded her of her past infatuation with him. Bai Jinse heard her senior inviting her to join his company, but she declined. Upon returning, Bai Jinse saw Mo Si Nian sitting there and he sarcastically commented that she was late, insisting that she report her whereabouts to him in the future.
Every time Bai Jinse sees Mo Si Nian, she finds him a bit verbose and annoying. Lin Xi also feels that something is off with Mo Si Nian this time, perhaps because Bai Jinse had dinner with Qin Wuduan, and it's possible that Mo Si Nian is jealous. Lin Xi even mentioned that Mo Si Nian has developed feelings for Bai Jinse, which left Bai Jinse stunned and somewhat skeptical about Mo Si Nian actually liking her.
