Episode 10 recap: Yun Tian He entered the dream to find Han Ling Sha.
They encountered a beggar on this side who was asked about the Ouyang family. The beggar explained that Miss Ouyang's parents tragically died nine years ago. Overwhelmed with grief, Miss Ouyang fell into a coma and has remained in that state ever since. Seeing that the beggar was living in poor conditions, Yun Tian He gave him some money.
Mu Rong Zi Ying arrived at Zhong Bo's place, where Zhong Bo mentioned that his sister had been in a coma since nine years ago. He expressed his confusion and sought Mu Rong Zi Ying's help in saving his sister. Mu Rong Zi Ying agreed to stabilize her soul for the time being but explained that they would need another person to come and help in order to save her.
Ouyang Mingzhu encountered Xuan Ying here. Xuan Ying asked Ouyang Mingzhu if Yun Tian He had already discovered that he had deceived them. Ouyang Mingzhu was also surprised and had no idea that Han Ling Sha had deceived Yun Tian He. Xuan Ying sensed that something was amiss and left upon hearing someone approaching.
Han Mengli was also with them. Ouyang Mingzhu asked Han Mengli if Han Ling Sha had deceived Yun Tian He, but Han Mengli believed that Han Ling Sha wouldn't do such a thing. Yun Tian He and the others returned, and Ouyang Mingzhu felt unwell. Yun Tian He involuntarily called out Han Ling Sha's name and asked about her condition.
Mu Rong Zi Ying mentioned that it was time to go into Luoyang Mingzhu's dream. Han Ling Sha's soul was currently trapped inside the dream, and if she didn't come out soon, it would be very dangerous. Mu Rong Zi Ying wanted to enter and find Han Ling Sha's soul, but Han Mengli suggested that she and Yun Tian He go in together. This way, Mu Rong Zi Ying could stay outside to protect them and provide spiritual support.
Agreeing with the suggestion, Mu Rong Zi Ying stayed outside while Yun Tian He and Han Mengli entered the dream together.
Yun Tian He, unfortunately, found themselves inside the dream and discovered that the environment inside the dream was exactly the same as the outside. Ouyang Mingzhu encountered Li Jiangliu in the dream, who suggested they first go to the Qianfo Temple and then go boating.
In the dream, Ouyang Mingzhu encountered several maids and found it strange that they mentioned going to the Qianfo Temple, thinking they had heard the same words from one of the maids before. However, the maids didn't react and continued to repeat the same words. Ouyang Mingzhu went to the temple to find Master Jingxin, but he was no longer there.
Yun Tian He and the others investigated and realized that they had been to this place before, but they were still there now. Suddenly, the local people surrounded them, expressing their anticipation of their arrival. Yun Tian He and the others were astonished. Li Jiangliu arrived and claimed to be a god within the dream, instructing them not to waste their efforts.
Li Jiangliu also appeared outside the dream and told Mu Rong Zi Ying that she had to either confront him or be killed by him. However, if she didn't provide spiritual support, Li Jiangliu asked Mu Rong Zi Ying which option she would choose. Yun Tian He asked Li Jiangliu why he killed Ouyang Mingzhu's parents, and Li Jiangliu explained that he wanted to obtain Ouyang Mingzhu's theorem but they considered him insignificant, so he killed them like ants.
Li Jiangliu intended to deal with Yun Tian He and the others when suddenly Ouyang Mingzhu appeared, having learned about the situation. Ouyang Mingzhu didn't want to stay there, which saddened Li Jiangliu, as he believed that everything one could desire was within the dream. He couldn't understand why Ouyang Mingzhu wasn't willing to stay. Ouyang Mingzhu pointed a hairpin at herself, threatening to die there if Li Jiangliu didn't let them leave. Eventually, Li Jiangliu had no choice but to release them all.
Yun Tian He woke up and saw Han Ling Sha had returned, bringing them great joy.
Currently at episode 10, looking back at the earlier plot, there have been small changes but it still maintains the original drama's quality. The screenwriter has really put in effort, especially in the Dream of Mingzhu segment.
I cried while playing the game, and now I'm also crying while watching the TV series. The costumes, props, and special effects are all top-notch. It's a heartfelt drama! The only downside is the acting of Tianhe and Lingsha, the two leads.
Their acting skills still need improvement. However, being able to witness a TV adaptation of Immortal Four in my lifetime is satisfying enough. Why should we be too harsh on them or the production team?
