Episode 12 recap: Yun Tian He and the Five Poison Beasts Challenge.
Han Ling Sha wanted to take Yun Tian He back, and Yun Tian He actually heard it and felt that Han Ling Sha must have a reason. Han Ling Sha didn't expect Yun Tian He to be like this and felt very guilty, so he told Yun Tian He everything.Yun Tian He didn't care about these things. In his eyes, Han Ling Sha was more important. Mu Rong Zi Ying wanted to take them to the Qionghua Sect, and Han Ling Sha wanted to match Yun Tian He and Liu Meng Li, so they went together.
Yun Tian He and the others were at the foot of the mountain. Xuan Ying talked to Su Yao about this matter and wanted to give the pill to Han Ling Sha without deceiving her. Su Yao thought Xuan Ying wasn't really human and didn't need to abide by anything, but Xuan Ying insisted.
Su Yao absorbed half of Xuan Ying's power and felt that he couldn't ruin Xuan Ying over a pill, so he gave the pill to Xuan Ying. Xuan Ying gave the pill to Han Ling Sha, who was also surprised and wondered if Xuan Ying stole it. Han Ling Sha noticed that Xuan Ying was injured and wanted to give the pill to him, thinking that he needed to be in good health to get more medicine for himself, as friends were more important.
Xuan Ying assured Han Ling Sha that he was fine and asked her to keep the pill a secret from others. Liu Meng Li had a nightmare in which a voice told her to go to Bao Xian Town. Yun Tian He and Han Ling Sha wanted to go with her.
Bao Xian Town is a place where humans and demons live together. They were surprised to see Mu Rong Zi Ying there, but they didn't expect that the person was just disguised as Mu Rong Zi Ying. Yun Tian He and the others came here to inquire about information, and the people here were also surprised. They thought their master was the most beautiful, but now they realized that their master could only rank third with Yun Tian He and the others here.
Yun Tian He and the others asked the master about the jade piece. Feng Changge happened to be here and mentioned seeing the jade piece at the Qingfeng Pavilion. The master agreed to have a meal with Feng Changge, who then took them to the Qingfeng Pavilion.
Feng Changge stated that the master of the Qingfeng Pavilion is Lord Feng Er, and he took them outside, mentioning that they would need to pay to know what's inside. Liu Meng Li felt something strange and wanted to go back first, but then she heard the same voice from her dream, and the jade pendant around her neck started glowing. Yun Tian He thought they should just go inside and there, they saw the Five Poison Beasts and wanted to challenge them. The people there were surprised that someone dared to challenge the Five Poison Beasts and were very excited.
Yun Tian He didn't sense any murderous intent there, so he wasn't too worried and asked Han Ling Sha and Liu Meng Li to find something related to the jade pendant. Han Ling Sha and Liu Meng Li arrived there and encountered a pig demon.
The pig demon said that no one who competed against the Five Poison Beasts was able to win. Han Ling Sha and Liu Meng Li wanted to go out to find Yun Tian He but unexpectedly encountered Feng Changge, who turned out to be the pavilion master. Yun Tian He was beaten up badly and hoped that Feng Changge would release Han Ling Sha and Liu Meng Li. However, Feng Changge insisted that Yun Tian He and the Five Poison Beasts have another match, and if Yun Tian He won, he would give him the book.
Yun Tian He could only take out the Wangshu Sword. Han Ling Sha also came to help, and although they defeated the Five Poison Beasts, Han Ling Sha also encountered difficulties due to her Yin and Cold physique, and Feng Changge couldn't do anything about it. Yun Tian He saw Han Ling Sha's pill, and Feng Changge mentioned that the pill was very valuable and could definitely save Han Ling Sha.
Yun Tian He gave the pill to Han Ling Sha, and she indeed recovered. Liu Meng Li was also worried about how to explain things to Han Ling Sha once she woke up. Yun Tian He believed that the person who could give Han Ling Sha the medicine must be a good person, and he planned to ask for one when he went to the Qionghua Sect.
The first few episodes weren't very impressive, but starting from the fifth episode, it really started to get interesting. There were some funny moments, like the silly things the male lead said, such as carrying around his father's ranking when three people were together and using it to introduce his father's acquaintances so they could reunite.
The female lead's performance was very lively, and her acting has improved compared to before. The scene where she was possessed by the fish demon was very impressive, I kept rewatching it.
There were also some funny quarrels between the female lead and the second male lead. The main couple also had good chemistry. Initially, the female lead was deceiving the male lead, but when he found out, they didn't drag it out with unnecessary misunderstandings and quickly made up.
The friendship among the four characters is also pure and sincere, as they all think of each other and help each other. I've never played the game, but if I were to judge solely based on the drama, it's very enjoyable to watch.
I hope it continues to maintain its quality.
After several naive and kind-hearted young boys and girls with pure hearts meet, they embark on a journey of leveling up and fighting monsters, experiencing their own growth and encountering various characters. The focus is on personal development rather than the melodramatic and tortured love stories that often prevail.
It's really surprising to see how rare this simple and straightforward tale of passionate young boys and girls growing up has become. It truly brings back nostalgic memories.
Chen Zhe Yuan's portrayal of Yun Tian He is truly remarkable. From being an inexperienced young boy on Qingluan Peak to later embarking on a journey with the Xianjian team, fighting monsters and leveling up, his skills and character's inner growth are constantly evolving.
Chen Zhe Yuan's acting has layers to it. Whether it's the clear and innocent Yun Tian He at the beginning or the mature and responsible version after his adventures in the world of Xianxia, he puts his heart into his performance.
His youthful and agile presence truly brings the scenes to life. He doesn't start out as a flashy and dominant protagonist. It's not easy to portray this kind of character who grows throughout the story, but Chen Zhe Yuan carries it off.
Yun Tian He possesses the heroic spirit of a young cultivator in the Xianxia world, and I hope more people will fall in love with Xianxia 4 and with Chen Zhe Yuan, who embodies the character with passion and sincerity. He's truly amazing.
Well, how should I say this? I've watched the first and third parts of the Xianjian series a long time ago, and they were truly classics. However, when it comes to this fourth part, Xianjian 4, I approached it today with a mindset of giving it a try.
Of course, it cannot be compared to the previous two parts.
The first four episodes of this drama were a bit boring. The beast-like outfit of the male lead didn't seem to suit him well and looked quite strange. But after they came down from the mountain, they changed their clothes, and it became more bearable to look at.
The male lead looked better in the folk costume he wore. As for the female lead, her acting skills are decent, and she's quite adorable. When she's being controlled by others, she gives off a suitable vibe for playing a villain, and it's quite impactful.
The plot is also decent, and it can still captivate people. Overall, it's worth recommending.
