Episode 14 recap: Yun Tian He wants to stay in the Qionghua Sect.
There are elders willing to accept Han Ling Sha as their disciple, but Han Ling Sha has the same idea as Liu Meng Li. Everyone is unwilling to accept Yun Tian He as a disciple. Han Ling Sha says it's not that they don't want Yun Tian He, but Yun Tian He doesn't want them. He wants to go with Yun Tian He.
Murong Zi Ying stepped forward and expressed willingness to accept Yun Tian He as a disciple. He said he only knows about the events of 19 years ago but didn't experience them personally. However, he has gone through many things with Yun Tian He and knows that Yun Tian He has made many sacrifices to save the people of Chenzhou. If they refuse to accept him as a disciple just because he is Yun Tian Qing's son, how will the people of Chenzhou view the Qionghua Sect?
The sect leader says that choosing Yun Tian He is fate, but along with it comes debate and criticism that Yun Tian He must endure. They ask if Yun Tian He has truly decided to stay in the Qionghua Sect. Yun Tian He says he must stay in the Qionghua Sect because he is Yun Tian Qing's son. He doesn't believe his father could be a troublemaker within the sect, so he must stay to uncover the truth.
Murong Zi Ying comes to find Yun Tian He and tells them that they have already stayed in the Qionghua Sect and that he has already accepted Yun Tian He as a disciple. Therefore, they have no retreat. Yun Tian He says that when he was young, he used to practice swordsmanship hundreds of times a day to show his father. His father said that everyone has different reasons for wielding a sword, but if he wields one, he must protect the weak. So, he doesn't believe his father could be a troublemaker within the sect. Murong Zi Ying says they will investigate together.
Yun Tian He asks if Murong Zi Ying knows a place called Zui Huayin. Murong Zi Ying brings Yun Tian He there. He says he heard that a few people used to gather at Zui Huayin. Yun Tian He recites a poem, saying his mother loved Zui Huayin, and when she missed it, she would recite this poem. Later, his mother passed away, and his father would recite the same poem when he missed her. He never expected that one day he would truly come to the Qionghua Sect and see Zui Huayin.
Han Ling Sha asks Murong Zi Ying who the other people are. Murong Zi Ying says it has been a long time, and it's only a legend. He doesn't know the specifics.
Xuan Ying saw that Yun Tian He and the others went to Zui Huayin and reported it to the sect leader. The sect leader said it must have been Yun Tian Qing who told Yun Tian He about it since they used to love going to Zui Huayin. However, things have changed now.
Han Ling Sha and the others come to see the sect leader. Han Ling Sha says they all came together and also want to become disciples of Murong Zi Ying. The sect leader says that Murong Zi Ying has never taken disciples before, and if he suddenly takes three disciples, he might not have the experience to take care of them all.
Murong Zi Ying says that their friendship is deep, and he can teach them as an elder, so the sect leader agrees. The sect leader says that since Yun Tian He is already a disciple of the Qionghua Sect, he should return the Wangshu Sword to the sect. Yun Tian He agrees and puts the Wangshu Sword into a box.
The sect leader goes to the forbidden area and meets Xuan Xiao inside. Xuan Xiao is also surprised that Yun Tian He gave the Wangshu Sword to the sect leader. Xuan Xiao says that the sect leader is not worthy of holding the Wangshu Sword. The sect leader explains that originally, it should have been him and Xuan Xiao who cultivated and mastered it together, but Su Yu stole the Wangshu Sword.
Xuan Xiao wants to see Yun Tian He, but the sect leader says that Xuan Xiao won't be allowed to see Yun Tian He until he has fully mastered control over the Wangshu Sword with his extreme yin physique.
At the beginning of the drama, I didn't find the character Yun Tian He very appealing, but the more I watched, the more I fell in love with him. He is like a piece of uncut jade, possessing exceptional talents while maintaining a youthful innocence.
He firmly believes in the people he trusts, even if he knows they are deceiving him, he still believes that they must have a reason. When everyone says his father is a traitor, he wants to find the truth without being submissive.
Who says Tian He is only reckless? Moreover, the male lead's acting skills are amazing. From feeling wronged and incredulous, to anticipation (when the sect leader says his father is not a traitor), to shock and disbelief, and finally, anger and determination.
In a certain sense, Tianhe is an absolute powerhouse. He is familiar with everything in the wilderness, capable of protecting himself, including the swordsmanship he uses, which he learned from his father. Although he may not appear as upright and orthodox as the noble sects, he is incredibly formidable in actual combat.
He is a natural young boy, similar to other boys his age, who loves to eat, play, and even sleep in. The only difference is that he believes everything in the world can be controlled by his own hands, not by fate.
