Episode 9 recap: Yun Tian He protects Han Ling Sha.
Mu Rong Zi Ying wants to go back to find his martial uncle, and Han Ling Sha wakes up, saying that she was just tired and fell asleep. Han Ling Sha says she wants to go with Yun Tian He, so they split up. Mu Rong Zi Ying tells Yun Tian He a mantra, instructing him to recite it if he feels something is wrong.
Mu Rong Zi Ying asks about Liu Meng Li's master, and Liu Meng Li says she doesn't know the name. Her master came to find her before and mentioned a bond between teacher and disciple. Mu Rong Zi Ying reveals that his first master was named Su Shen, but he has already left the Qiong Hua Sect.
Dao Zhen comes over to help and explains that the bead is a spell artifact with a Qian Bead and a Kun Bead, and destroying only one bead won't work. Liu Meng Li suggests using sound illusion technique to inspect the bead, but she can only sustain it for an hour. Mu Rong Zi Ying wants to go inside, but Dao Zhen is concerned that he may encounter danger and not be able to come out in time.
Mu Rong Zi Ying assures them that he understands the risks. After entering, Mu Rong Zi Ying sees his master Su Shen, who says that the Qiong Hua Sect isn't suitable for him and he wants to leave, but assures that others will take good care of Mu Rong Zi Ying.
Su Shen asks Mu Rong Zi Ying to leave with him, and Mu Rong Zi Ying is almost swayed. In this place, Mu Rong Zi Ying overhears two people discussing their plan to snatch the Wang Shu Sword. Mu Rong Zi Ying wakes up, and Liu Meng Li and the others are relieved.
Due to excessive depletion of spiritual energy, Liu Meng Li fainted, so Dao Zhen suggests protecting her immediately. Dao Zhen and Mu Rong Zi Ying work together to help Liu Meng Li regain consciousness. Mu Rong Zi Ying mentions that someone's voice sounded similar to Bei Ke, whom he had heard before. Dao Zhen warns that Bei Ke is very powerful, so they must be cautious.
Yun Tian He and Han Ling Sha go outside together. The current Han Ling Sha doesn't even know what she likes to eat or what Yun Tian He likes to eat, and her way of speaking is very strange.
Yun Tian He had already realized that the person in front of him was not the real Han Ling Sha. He used the spell taught by Mu Rong Zi Ying to summon him. Bei Ke arrived and took away Han Ling Sha, threatening that she would die if Yun Tian He didn't hand over the Wang Shu Sword. Yun Tian He placed the sword down and gave it to Bei Ke. Bei Ke held a bead in front of Han Ling Sha, and she woke up. Bei Ke took the sword and left. Mu Rong Zi Ying and the others arrived and realized that if the Illusionary Book Sword was in Bei Ke's hands, they could destroy the Wang Shu Sword, and their human clan would suffer.
Yun Tian He explained what had happened, and Dao Zhen believed that the bead was definitely the Qian Bead. They needed to destroy the Qian Bead so that the sleeping people could wake up. Han Ling Sha woke up and found herself in a strange place, likely inside the Qian Bead, with the spirits around her being the spirits of the sleeping people.
Yun Tian He and the others confronted Bei Ke, but they were no match for him. Yun Tian He couldn't let Bei Ke harm Han Ling Sha, so he resorted to a method where they would perish together. He stabbed himself, also hitting Bei Ke. Bei Ke dissipated, and Yun Tian He was taken back for treatment.
Han Ling Sha woke up, completely unaware of who they were. Liu Meng Li asked her who she was, and the person identified themselves as Ouyang Mingzhu. Due to the connection with the bead, their spirits had exchanged places, meaning Han Ling Sha's spirit was still trapped inside the bead where Ouyang Mingzhu had been.
Ouyang Mingzhu had been trapped in a dream realm all along, and she said she needed to return quickly because her husband was waiting for her. Mu Rong Zi Ying went to investigate and asked Yun Tian He and the others to take care of Ouyang Mingzhu.
