Episode 1 recap: Chun Yu and her classmates unexpectedly entered the 19th floor.
A man with long hair woke up in an underground passage and suddenly found himself being chased by something. He learned that the thing was after her and he needed to save the woman. Suddenly, he regained consciousness from a computer and saw Chun Yu's file (played by Sun Qian), a new student from Jianghua College, riding a motorcycle to report for registration.
Xu Wen Ya was live streaming, and Yang Ba Wan, as her fan, was excited. At this moment, the commotion caused by Chun Yu's motorcycle attracted numerous onlookers. Yang Ba Wan tried to introduce Xu Wen Ya to this girl with a fierce personality, but realized that Xu Wen Ya had already left.
Chun Yu arrived at the dormitory building, and a gust of wind blew by. Before her eyes appeared an abandoned house, with a long-haired person standing at the entrance, bloodshot eyes. This building was the haunted building of Jianghua College. Qing You met Chun Yu on the way and accompanied her to the dormitory. Xu Wen Ya greeted Chun Yu, but she didn't pay any attention to her.
At night, Chun Yu woke up from a nightmare. She noticed her fellow student leaving the dormitory as if sleepwalking. Worried, she quietly followed behind. She saw Qing You walking toward the haunted building on the campus, and the door opened for her. Just as Chun Yu was about to enter, she came face to face with the man she saw during the day. She suddenly woke up and realized it was just a dream.
The next day was sunny. Chun Yu and her classmates boarded a bus to prepare for a training session. In a speeding private car, three men were discussing something. The driver was puzzled and asked why they had brought a box of beer if they had already retreated, even though they didn't succeed in collecting the debt. On the bus, Chun Yu saw a fly. The driver tried to avoid a collision with a man coming from the opposite direction, and the person standing by the roadside turned out to be the long-haired man from the haunted building.
While unconscious, Chun Yu heard a girl crying for her mother inside the vehicle, and that girl was her. She was pushed into the hospital in a daze and could only see a beam of bright light before her heartbeat stopped.
Chun Yu woke up again and found herself alone in an elevator with the number 19. She opened the elevator doors and entered a desolate forest, with the haunted building of the school right in front of her. She cautiously walked inside, and it resembled a library. Soon, Qing You and Lao Lin also appeared there. Lao Lin wondered why they ended up there after the car accident. At that moment, Qiang Ge and his companions also appeared, suspecting that they might be dead and that's why they were there.
Qiang Ge asked why they were there and learned that they were on the bus. Hei Er accidentally pressed a recording device, and suddenly all the lights went out. They could only see a shadow play on a large screen. When Qiang Ge tried to find out who was operating it, he realized that no one was controlling it. They became instantly panicked. Chun Yu went backstage to investigate, and the long-haired man suddenly appeared, warning her to leave quickly as it was dangerous there. Just as he finished speaking, the long-haired man was killed by a monster in the shadow play.
The other characters in the shadow play instantly transformed into human forms. Hei Er was too scared to move and was unfortunate enough to be killed by the monster. Qiang Ge, A Yong, and the others were overwhelmed by fear and started running around in panic. The Bullhead Monster, wielding an axe, was searching for them. While fleeing, Chun Yu realized that she had been separated from Qing You and went back to find him.
A Yong couldn't bear to leave Hei Er's body behind and wanted to go back and find him, but Qiang Ge pulled him back. Chun Yu encountered the monster and desperately ran, using the half of a map posted on the wall to search for an exit. Qiang Ge attempted to escape through a window but found the glass extremely tough. Lao Lin and Qing You hid behind a bookshelf, and they saw the Bullhead Monster quietly approaching them. Both of them covered their mouths and noses in fear. On the other side, Chun Yu also tried to escape through a window but realized it was futile. Meanwhile, the Bullhead Monster chased all of them to a dead end. Just when they thought there was no way out, a man appeared from another door. The sky outside instantly changed dramatically, turning a reddish color, and the birds in the sky started moving.
Great, great, great! As a fan of supernatural genres, I must say that the scenes and special effects in the series are indeed impressive. The actors' performances are also decent, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming plot developments and scenes.
Despite being a scaredy-cat, I still enjoy playing, so even though some scenes weren't meant to be terrifying, they still gave me a good jump scare, to the point that it even cleared my blocked nose!
