Episode 8 recap: The Battle Against Zombies.
The group engages in a fierce battle with the zombies. This time, not only are they facing the undead, but also several real-world individuals who are conscious but hunting them down. Zhang Tian Qiang is terrified and hides under a table, while everyone else tries to escape. With a large number of zombies pursuing them, they join forces and desperately try to flee, unsure if they can overcome this challenge.

Zhang Tian Qiang, thinking the zombies have left, breathes a sigh of relief while hiding under the table, but suddenly, another version of himself looks directly at him.
Zhang Tian Qiang was so frightened that he lost his composure, and Chun Yu and the others quickly escaped from the second floor. Yang Ba Wan immediately pulled Doudou along to flee, while Chun Yu, in the process of escaping, went back to rescue Gao Xuan. They were chased by the zombies, but the zombies outnumbered them. Zhang Tian Qiang was nearly beaten to death, and he resigned himself to sacrifice his life, but to his surprise, the other version of himself let him go.

While trying to fend off the zombies, the group remembered the clues from the game: eliminating the evil spirits would lead to a successful passage. Suddenly, everything fell silent, and they thought the zombies had calmed down, but they became even more ferocious. The evil spirits broke in, and they continued to escape towards the backyard. Gao Xuan observed that the zombies didn't come inside the courtyard, but Chun Yu didn't follow.
Shortly after, the zombies found their way there again. The group decided to fight the zombies to the death. Chun Yu blew a whistle to attract some of the zombies away. Gao Xuan suddenly remembered that when they were studying the map with Chun Yu earlier, there was a hint on it. The two of them discovered the method to pass this level. Watching Chun Yu alone in the yard using sound to lure away the zombies, he told the others to scatter and defeat the zombies one by one.
The first few episodes were okay, but starting from episode 5, a sudden wave of dissonance hit. Just think about it, being inexplicably dragged into a game every day, having personal time occupied, and being surrounded by a bunch of Tianji staff observing your game performance.
