A Jiu wished to leave Beiming with Blue before their marriage and choose a place she liked to establish a new Bai Cao Tang (Hundred Herb Hall), where they could be together. However, Blue considered Beiming her home because her people were there, so she was unwilling to leave. A Jiu wanted to tell Blue about the affairs of Shangqing Sect, but when he saw Blue's deep hatred for the sect and her desire for revenge for her burned clan members, he worried that she might act recklessly if she found out. The words were on the tip of his tongue but he swallowed them back.
The Wolfbane Demon was captured and thrown back into prison. Despite enduring various tortures, he refused to disclose the location of the Herb Village.
