Episode 1 recap: Mu Di and Bai Lang met for the first time.

Mu Di participated in one music ensemble audition after another, but the results were not satisfactory. Teacher Wang Dayin was both anxious and helpless. After the auditions, Mu Di told Wang Dayin that she had been experiencing tinnitus and dizziness due to mental stress. The doctor prescribed medication, but now all the recruitment opportunities were gone. Wang Dayin reluctantly suggested that Mu Di pursue a doctoral degree under his supervision. Although there were originally no available slots this year, he could try to negotiate with the school. Mu Di expressed her gratitude to Wang Dayin with a bow.

Mu Di decided to return to Wei Hai for recuperation, giving herself three months to recover. When Mu Di arrived home, her family was celebrating her nephew's birthday. Seeing Mu Di made them very happy. Mu Di's mother asked about Cheng Xu, wondering why he hadn't come back. Mu Di replied that he had been busy lately. Mu Tong interrupted their conversation and invited everyone to cut the cake. Mu Di forced a smile.

Mu Tong sensed that something was wrong with Mu Di and asked her about her personal situation. Mu Di tearfully revealed the truth under Mu Tong's questioning. Cheng Xu had cheated on her with a wealthy woman in order to enter the music ensemble. And on that day, Mu Di developed tinnitus due to the shock. She was worried that she might never be able to play the suona again. Mu Tong comforted Mu Di, promising to find an expert to help her recover. Mu Di asked Mu Tong to keep it a secret, and Mu Tong agreed.

Mu Di's best friend, Xu Huan, accompanied her to seek treatment from the renowned Chinese medicine practitioner, Liu Shengshou. They first came to Bai Lang to get a number. Mu Di believed that they had made an early appointment and should be prioritized over others. However, Bai Lang disregarded their request and treated them equally, giving Mu Di a random number. They had no choice but to wait, and they were so tired that they were almost falling asleep when it was still not their turn. They also saw Bai Lang allowing other middle-aged women to cut in line. Mu Di approached Bai Lang to confront him, but an elderly man nearby offered to let Mu Di go ahead of him. Feeling embarrassed, Mu Di stepped aside and continued to wait in line. Bai Lang silently complained about Mu Di's anger.

Finally, it was Mu Di's turn. While Liu Shengshou was examining Mu Di's pulse, Bai Lang was also listening nearby. Mu Di was reluctant to let him hear her private information, and they had a brief argument. In the end, Liu Shengshou sent Bai Lang away. Liu Shengshou diagnosed Mu Di with Qi deficiency and advised her to play the suona less until she fully recovered. After listening to the diagnosis, Mu Di obediently took the prescription and went to get the medicine. Unexpectedly, it was Bai Lang who was responsible for dispensing the medicine. Mu Di was speechless but still handed him the prescription.

In the evening, Xu Huan and Mu Di went to a bar to have some fun.

Relatives invited everyone to a dinner, and Mu Di helped her sister take care of the children. As soon as they arrived at the restaurant, Mu Di's brother-in-law, who was seated in the east, was surrounded by people who wanted to get close to him and establish connections. Upon closer inspection, Mu Di noticed that Bai Lang was also among them. In the hustle and bustle, Bai Lang accidentally bumped into Mu Di's phone and broke it. At first, Bai Lang denied responsibility, but when he heard about Mu Di's relationship with the person seated in the east, his attitude made a 180-degree turn. Mu Di ignored him.

During the dinner, with a bunch of people trying to get close to the person seated in the east, the host Bai Lang decided to invite the person seated in the east to come up and say a few words. The person seated in the east asked Mu Di to leave with the children and meet in the parking lot later. Bai Lang noticed this arrangement and when he handed over the microphone, he informed the person seated in the east and Mu Di that he would find a way to help them leave.

Bai Lang orchestrated a plan where everyone except the person seated in the east would have some drinks. Later, he used the excuse of moving cars to successfully help the person seated in the east and Mu Di leave. While seeing them off, Bai Lang also handed a business card to the person seated in the east. The host of the dinner, Mr. Wei, was dissatisfied with Bai Lang's actions of taking the person seated in the east away and deducted his salary. Bai Lang threatened to go to Mr. Wei's company to demand it, so Mr. Wei reluctantly made up the remaining amount.

Upon returning home, Bai Lang discovered that Huang Tao was also at his house. Huang Tao kept asking Bai Lang how her makeup looked. Bai Lang had no romantic feelings for her and had a brief confrontation with Huang Tao before being summoned by a phone call from Huang Jin. At the bar, Xu Huan told Mu Di that she had arranged a wedding event for her at the Baite Hotel. Mu Di agreed.

The next day, when Mu Di arrived at the hotel, she realized that it didn't look anything like a wedding venue. The owner called her and informed her that the wedding was not taking place at the Baite Hotel but at Bai Tou Village. Mu Di took a taxi and traveled a long distance to Bai Tou Village, only to be informed that it was actually a funeral event. Meanwhile, Mu Di was wearing a red dress, and Bai Lang, the person receiving her, looked at each other in surprise.
