Episode 13 recap: Mu Di received a message from Beijing.

Mu Di received a message from Beijing.Bai Lang was going to take Mu Di, who had woken up, back home. Mu Di got up and walked out of the room, seeing Bai Lang's mother sitting on the couch. She politely greeted her aunt, but Bai Lang's mother didn't respond and just looked at her.

Mu Di felt a bit awkward and uneasy. Bai Lang witnessed this but didn't come out of the kitchen to ease the situation. Bai Lang's mother made room on the couch, and Mu Di awkwardly walked over and sat down. After a while, Bai Lang called Mu Di to the dining room and explained that his mother had a mental illness. Mu Di suddenly understood. Mu Di was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the hot and sour soup Bai Lang made for her. The two of them had a warm conversation. Mu Di learned that Bai Lang's mother had been injured by her father but was now able to live a normal life, thanks to Liu Sheng's help. After finishing the soup, Mu Di said she had to leave. Bai Lang wanted to accompany her, but Mu Di declined and asked him to take care of his mother at home. Mu Di said goodbye to Bai Lang's mother and promised to visit her again. Surprisingly, Bai Lang's mother responded, saying, "You should come." Bai Lang and Mu Di were both pleasantly surprised.

Mu Di went back home. Although Bai Lang was refused to accompany her, he secretly followed behind her until he saw Mu Di safely enter her house before leaving with relief. The next day, Mu Di and Bai Lang both arrived at work early. They played around and Bai Lang suggested showing Mu Di the company's business. Mu Di learned a lot from Bai Lang and realized there was so much to organizing events.

Qu Wen Wen was running with William. William was panting and pulled his hand away, unwilling to continue running, saying he was still feeling the effects of the alcohol. Qu Wen Wen challenged William to a race, promising that if he won, she would never drag him to run after drinking again. William agreed. Despite trying to cheat and start running early, he was easily caught up by Qu Wen Wen, who regularly exercises. Afterward, they leaned against the rocks by the seaside to rest. Qu Wen Wen looked at William and smiled happily, while William listened to the various sounds of the sea. Suddenly, he got inspired, stood up excitedly, and thanked Qu Wen Wen before shouting towards the ocean.

Ding Yi brought good wine and approached Mu's father's tailor shop to get closer to him. Mu's father was delighted and invited him to have dinner at his house in the evening. Ding Yi happily accepted and asked Mu's father about the time Mu Di usually returns home in the evening. Mu's father said Mu Di usually arrives around seven o'clock. Ding Yi checked the time and decided to first go to the market to buy some small yellow croakers that Mu Di likes.

Later, Ding Yi arrived at Mu Di's house with a bunch of things to prepare a meal. Mu's mother was surprised by Ding Yi's familiar manner. Bai Lang also took Mu Di to visit Liu Grandpa's mother's house in Bai Tou Village. The two of them helped Grandma Liu prepare a meal and chatted for a while. From Bai Lang's words and actions, Mu Di sensed that he was a kind and good person. Mu Di told Bai Lang to always invite her whenever he visited. Then, when Mu Di looked up, she saw a mouse and got scared, jumping into Bai Lang's arms. Bai Lang was speechless but amused.

In the evening, Mu Di called her mother and told her that she wouldn't be coming home for dinner. Ding Yi, who was nearby, felt disappointed upon hearing this but still put on a forced smile and accompanied Mu's parents for dinner and drinks. Meanwhile, Mu Di's great-grandmother warmly invited them to have dinner. At that moment, Mu Di received a phone call from Xiao Mao. Xiao Mao told her that the Beijing Experimental Orchestra had approved Mu Di's sample composition, and they had a special audition for the position of the chief suona player the day after tomorrow. Wang Dayin urged her to return quickly for the audition. Mu Di was thrilled but also conflicted.

After finishing dinner and returning home, Mu Di opened the door to a chaotic scene. Her parents were drunkenly lying on the sofa. Mu Di took care of her parents and messaged Bai Lang to ask for the recipe for hot and sour soup. Bai Lang sent it to her. The next morning, when Mu Di woke up, she made the soup and placed it on the table. Mu's parents were both amused and touched when they saw it.

Qu Wen Wen's father asked her about recent events and felt that she didn't need to please William by giving him millions of dollars' worth of recording equipment. He suggested that they should stop seeing each other. Qu Wen Wen angrily refused her father's suggestion and said she would earn the money back and return it to him.

Mu Di cautiously told William about her plans to go to Beijing. To her surprise, William was very supportive and even suggested expanding the company to Beijing. Mu Di couldn't help but feel exasperated by William's simple-mindedness. Qu Wen Wen's father disagreed with her being with William, which made Qu Wen Wen very sad.
