Episode 4 recap: Bai Lang was forced to buy the fishing boat.
Shen Debao wanted to report Bai Lang and his group but was unsuccessful. However, the news about the sea burial spread, and their fishing boat business would definitely suffer. Just then, Bai Lang and his group arrived and held a celebration banquet next to Shen Debao's table. Bai Lang mocked Shen Debao, and he left in anger.
Mu Di overheard that Er Daye wanted to sell the fishing boat. Mu's parents quickly changed the topic, but Mu Di interrupted them and asked about the situation. It turned out that the news of Er Daye's fishing boat being involved in something bad had been spread around, and he couldn't do business anymore. Mu Di demanded an explanation from his parents, and they offered compensation. Er Daye said he would sell the fishing boat, which was worth a hundred thousand in the market. After hearing this, Mu Di silently stood up and left.
Mu Di took the contract for selling the fishing boat and went to Bai Lang's small company, demanding that they buy Er Daye's boat. Bai Lang denied any responsibility and refused to buy it. When they heard that Mu Di's father had already purchased it, they were even less willing to pay. Mu Di directly took Bai Lang to the police station to settle the matter. There was a scuffle between the two parties, and Ding Yi, who was upstairs, thought that Bai Lang was bullying Mu Di and got into a fight with him. Huang Tao also arrived and, seeing Bai Lang being attacked, joined in. In the end, everyone was taken to the police station. They eventually signed a mediation agreement, and Ding Yi wanted to help Mu Di resolve the issue and invited everyone to dinner.
Under Ding Yi's mediation, Bai Lang apologized to Mu Di and agreed to repay the money, but still intended to delay the process. Mu Di was unhappy, and Ding Yi took Bai Lang aside and hinted that he could drag it out and fulfill Ding Yi's own ulterior motives. He suggested that Mu Di should return to Beijing later. Bai Lang understood, and Ding Yi intended to use his relationship with Mu Di to develop a romantic relationship. Bai Lang was displeased and demanded that Ding Yi promise that if they really got together, the money issue would be forgotten. Ding Yi agreed, and they returned to the table together, persuading Mu Di in harmony.
On the way back, Mu Di thanked Ding Yi but still doubted Bai Lang's intentions. Taking advantage of the situation, Ding Yi encouraged Mu Di to work at Bai Lang's company and keep an eye on him so that he could see Mu Di every day. Mu Di didn't realize Ding Yi's ulterior motives and agreed.
Downstairs, they coincidentally met Mu Tong and his nephew coming downstairs. Mu Tong tried to get information from Ding Yi and even exchanged contact information. After Ding Yi left, Mu Di told her sister a few things in disbelief and then went upstairs. The next day, Mu Di indeed went to Bai Lang's company and kept a close eye on them, even during Bai Lang's business negotiations. Bai Lang was speechless and wanted to persuade Mu Di to stop following him, but Mu Di refused.
Bai Lang couldn't give Mu Di a hard time and could only tolerate her presence. In order to make Mu Di stay in Wei Hai, Mu Tong and Mu's mother decided to introduce job opportunities and blind dates to Mu Di.
Mu Tong went to the police station to find Ding Yi and asked if he knew about Mu Di's plan to return to Beijing. Ding Yi confirmed that he knew, and Mu Tong asked for his opinion on the matter. Ding Yi expressed his support and Mu Tong didn't beat around the bush anymore, directly stating that their family wanted Mu Di to stay in Wei Hai, get married, and have children. He hinted that Ding Yi should pursue Mu Di to make her stay, and Ding Yi happily agreed.
Bai Lang was annoyed by Mu Di's persistence and finally gave her the monthly bride price, asking her not to bother him anymore. Mu Di was very happy. Qu Wen Wen found William and said she wanted to take him to a place where they could play music. William followed her, and Qu Wen Wen introduced him to a talented local musician named Liu Ge before leaving them alone. Liu Ge told William to explore on his own.
Huang Jin asked Bai Lang where the ten thousand yuan he gave to Mu Di came from. Bai Lang told him that he leased the fishing boat to Shen Debao for ten thousand yuan per month. Huang Jin was impressed. William genuinely loved music, but Liu Ge and his friends were always playing games. William was curious and asked how they usually rehearsed. To his surprise, Liu Ge scornfully said they just went on stage, gave a mediocre performance, got the crowd excited, and earned money. They kept hanging out and then asked William to introduce them to some gigs, thinking that since William knew Qu Wen Wen well, he should have connections. William said he wasn't familiar with Qu Wen Wen, and Liu Ge continued to make inappropriate remarks about her. Unable to tolerate it, William left.
Ding Yi came to find Bai Lang and coincidentally caught him signing a contract with a client. Unfortunately, they accidentally ruined the deal. Bai Lang was speechless. Ding Yi then brought up the main topic and suggested that Bai Lang transfer a portion of the company's shares to Mu Di.
