Episode 7 recap: Mu Di's performance failed at the wedding.

Mu Di promised William that he could chat with him in two days. William then asked when exactly in two days. Seeing his urgency, Mu Di recommended Xu Huan to him, saying that Xu Huan admired him greatly. But as soon as William heard this, he refused. He said he just wanted to focus on music and didn't want to be in a relationship. He left feeling disappointed. Mu Di noticed that William's mom had been listening the whole time, so he asked her directly without pretending, whether she liked Ding Yi or William. Mu Di said she didn't like either of them.

Ding Yi went to the company to have a meal with Mu Di, but Mu Di made excuses. Bai Lang was on the side, vigorously helping, and pushed Mu Di out with him. At the dinner table, Ding Yi mentioned the marriage of their old classmates and classmates, hinting at Mu Di. Mu Di completely missed the hint and instead thought about promoting advertisements in the class group, thinking it would bring business. He even asked Ding Yi to help him post one. Ding Yi reluctantly agreed with a bitter smile.

Mu Di told Bai Lang and Huang Jin about a series of plans. However, Bai Lang, who had been in society for a long time, didn't have much confidence in Mu Di. As it turned out, those bosses were just going through the motions with them. In the end, Bai Lang managed to secure a gig through a drinking session by using Mu Di's beauty and suona playing as a selling point. Mu Di didn't initially want to go to that wedding, but when he saw Bai Lang getting drunk and still wanting to protect himself, he softened.

On the day of the wedding, Mu Di was late, and Bai Lang became anxious. In addition, the boss was urging them. Forced by the circumstances, they had Huang Jin dress up as a woman and go on stage. Just as Huang Jin was at a loss on stage, Mu Di finally arrived. Mu Di picked up the suona and started playing, but the guests below were not interested at all. One man even humiliated Mu Di while holding a drink. In the end, with the mediation of Bai Lang and the boss, they helped the man off the stage. However, the man persisted in causing trouble. Bai Lang couldn't take it anymore and directly hit him. The scene became chaotic, and Bai Lang escorted Mu Di out while he stayed behind to clean up the mess. Mu Di looked at the injuries on Bai Lang's face and felt heartbroken. Bai Lang changed the subject, saying that Mu Di's music had problems and asked her to play some popular tunes. Mu Di felt that this was an insult to her art and was unwilling, so she left.

Huang Tao saw the injuries on Bai Lang's face and felt distressed. She also suspected that Bai Lang always offended others for the sake of Mu Di and wondered if he liked Mu Di. Bai Lang denied it, but Huang Tao didn't believe him. Later, she called Mu Di and arranged to meet. After meeting, Huang Tao asked Mu Di if she liked Bai Lang. Mu Di was completely confused and denied it. Huang Tao persisted and told Mu Di not to harass Bai Lang anymore. She said that for the sake of her dignity as a great artist, Mu Di had harmed a group of friends and advised her to go back to Beijing and stop relying on Bai Lang. She also said that if there was another incident, it wouldn't be as simple as a warning. In a series of statements, Mu Di didn't even have a chance to explain, and Huang Tao left.

Xu Huan and Mu Di went to a bar together to drink and vent. William saw Mu Di and approached her to chat. He asked if she had listened to the songs he sent her. Mu Di didn't answer; she just kept drinking. William asked Xu Huan what was wrong with her, and Xu Huan said that Mu Di was upset with a girl. Drunk Mu Di and William talked about music, each expressing their own opinions. Mu Di loudly criticized those who didn't understand art. William sensed that Mu Di was distracted and didn't ask her further. Mu Di continued to drink bottle after bottle, eventually getting herself sick.

On the other side, Huang Tao sought out her brother, Huang Jin, hoping that he would teach Mu Di a lesson. Huang Jin reluctantly agreed and called Mu Di. Following Huang Tao's instructions, he told Mu Di not to harass Bai Lang anymore. He also claimed that Bai Lang had said that Mu Di could tell that he had feelings for her, but she wasn't his type. Mu Di was extremely speechless. Her attitude towards Bai Lang, which had just started to change, instantly vanished. She cursed and hung up the phone.

In a beauty salon, Mu Di confided in an aunt about her recent frustrations. She wondered why her music wasn't being accepted by the public anymore. The aunt advised her that times have changed, and even traditional music like theirs needs to innovate. Mu Di understood. Restless in bed, Mu Di decided to create and play pop tunes. She immediately got out of bed and started taking action.
