Episode 4 recap: Everyone hurried to the Sunset Village, where Yue Qi encountered Bian Luo Huan.
Due to Luo Mai Ming's secret probing of Yue Qi, Yue Jin Zhao was very dissatisfied with the actions of the Luo siblings. In a fit of anger, he took Yue Qi and headed to the Sunset Village. However, due to the long journey, Yue Qi's lazy habit resurfaced, and she was unwilling to continue walking. When Yue Jin Zhao was at a loss for what to do, Luo Zhao Yan and Ju Shi Fang caught up with them in a horse-drawn carriage. Without saying a word, Yue Qi got on the carriage, and Yue Jin Zhao had no time to stop her, so he had to join everyone in heading to the Sunset Village.
Luo Zhao Yan brought along exquisitely made snacks for Yue Qi, causing her mouth to water uncontrollably. Yue Jin Zhao was still angry with Luo Zhao Yan, so he made an excuse to go with Ju Shi Fang to find water, avoiding his own embarrassment. Meanwhile, Yue Qi and Luo Zhao Yan, who stayed behind, coincidentally encountered Gao Xiao from the Qi Yuan Sect and Meng Jiao Shi, who were maltreating followers of the sect. They joined forces to rescue the followers. However, Gao Xiao signaled and summoned poisonous scorpions unique to the desert to deal with Yue Qi and Luo Zhao Yan. The two of them hastily fought back. Outside, Yue Jin Zhao sensed something amiss and hurried back with Ju Shi Fang. They joined the battle, and Ming Xiu and Ming Xiu also came to help. Gao Xiao and Meng Jiao Shi hastily fled.
Ming Xiu is a disciple of Yu Qing Shan, while Ming Xiu accompanies her on her travels outside the mountain. When they saw the rescued followers injured, Ming Xiu hurriedly went to treat them. After the two sides exchanged greetings, Yue Jin Zhao and the others expressed their gratitude. Yue Jin Zhao told Xian Liao and Ming Xiu that they were investigating the Qi Yuan Sect in Sunset Village, and Xian Liao and Ming Xiu decided to accompany them.
The injuries on the followers still needed further treatment, so Ming Xiu led them to the Sunset Village to find the village doctor, Bian Luo Huan. Upon seeing Bian Luo Huan, Yue Qi had a sense of familiarity, while Bian Luo Huan noticed the close relationship between Yue Qi and Yue Jin Zhao, which secretly displeased him. Ming Xiu asked Xian Liao why she helped Luo Zhao Yan, and Xian Liao sensed that Luo Zhao Yan possessed half of her own demon power, speculating that she must be the daughter of the person she saved years ago.
Yue Qi ran out to eat egg noodles but realized she had no money. Fortunately, Bian Luo Huan helped pay and even picked out the eggs from his own bowl for Yue Qi. Suddenly, Yue Jin Zhao appeared, snatched the eggs from Yue Qi's bowl, and they began playfully fighting again. Seeing this, Bian Luo Huan became even more displeased and advised Yue Qi not to wander around and to stay safe before leaving on his own.
In order to prevent future harm, Yue Jin Zhao and Ju Shi Fang spread the news about the harm done to the followers of the Qi Yuan Sect and urged the villagers to strengthen their precautions and avoid repeating the same mistakes. Luo Zhao Yan thanked Yue Qi for helping her regardless of their previous conflicts and felt ashamed for mistakenly thinking Yue Qi was the Míng Lord, so she apologized to her.
However, Yue Qi didn't take it to heart at all. Luo Zhao Yan sincerely said that from now on, she would consider Yue Qi as a friend. The efforts of Yue Jin Zhao and Ju Shi Fang to publicize the incident in the village had an effect, and the disguised Saint Xuān also blended in. Many villagers came to Bian Luo Huan to inquire about the situation.
Since the injured followers harmed by Gao Xiao and Meng Jiao Shi had not yet regained consciousness, Bian Luo Huan didn't say much. He asked the villagers to go home and wait for news, cautioning them to be careful and prevent further harm. The villagers listened to Bian Luo Huan and reluctantly returned home under the guidance of the village chief. Meanwhile, Yue Qi ate and drank at Bian Luo Huan's place. Luo Zhao Yan advised her to be cautious when outside, and Yue Qi responded by saying they should help each other.
Yue Qi mentioned that she already considered Luo Zhao Yan a friend and then said she had a secret to share with her. Yue Qi told Luo Zhao Yan about the feeling of familiarity she had when she saw Bian Luo Huan. Luo Zhao Yan asked what kind of feeling it was, and Yue Qi tilted her head and thought for a moment before saying it was like the feeling she had when she saw Yue Jin Zhao. This response puzzled Luo Zhao Yan.
